GVSPL APPARTMENT:

The Green County was in process of building two G+4 Appartments accommodating 24 flats in eachof
them and 25 individual villas and 29 row houses in total of 5 acres.All the G+4 flats are 2BHK with fully
completed according two customers needs.

BEAM WORKS:
All steels were high quality and high resistance steels were used

16mm and 10 mm and 8mm rods were used in the beam structure

These works were done within 1 day .For one apartment it took near 10 to 12 hour to finish this work by
more than 15 workers and one site engineer and one mason

All the steels were loaded up by using working elevator .nearly 25 tons of steels were used for the
beams and column structures

All steel rods were transported from Chennai .Gem builders is famous for its quality of building.

As the property is JV bond all the appartments are unique in its own quality

The top floor of the apartment is also done by heavy load bearing structure for any future extensions

SURVEYING FOR PLASTERING WORK

The surveying work is carried out before the brick work Is laid.The plastering work should be of same
thickness throughout the building for this purpose the surveying team plays a major role in marking the
points

The surveying is carrired out by using Total station.Total station records the points from the stationary
points.

This instrument is used by experienced engineers

Three of them were working in this surveying team one was recording the points and the other was
carrying the prism and to mark the points and the other one was checking the points which were
marked.

The surveying work is done in the initial stage only one layer of brick work is done.

BRICK WORK:

The bricks used are concrete bricks of size 200*50

The pattern used in laying of bricks is English bond

The cement mix is used for 2 inches between the brick work for proper strength

English bond is rarely used for sales buildings

Sill beams are used at 4 feet from the floor level it gives a great support for the load bearings

Sill beams will give support for wall and brick work
CONCRETE MIXTURE

Here the site usesM25 for most purposes its 1:2:4 ratio

The M25 proportion takes 40 mins for setting time and 1 day for proper setting

The mixture is allowed to set on the are for one day and it is watered daily for the reactions to take
place to make it more strength.

The mixture is mixed in a mixer named RM1800

CONCLUSION:

The Gem builders constructions were doing a promising project in the centre of the city and we got a
chance to make a visit at their site and to travel a week with skilled engineers and to gain a little
knowledge in our own field.More than subject knowledge practical knowledge will be helpful in our
field.
