What is an ambition? For me, an ambition is a destiny or dream that a person want to fullfil.

Everybody should have their

own ambition or else they would not succeed in whatever they do. My ambition is to become a computer engineer.

What does a computer engineer do? Computers are considered to be the appliances of the future, and to get a job in that
field can be a very useful for me in my later life. That is one of the reasons I would like to be a computer engineer when I
grow up. Computer engineering deals with both hardware and software skills and techniques. Computer software engineers
apply the techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate
software and systems. People need this career in life so that they can have all their computer demands for them. If there
were none of these engineers then most computers would not be checked properly and the product would have poor
quality.

My role model is Bill Gates. He is an American business magnate, investor, and computer programmer. Gates was born
in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955. Bill Gates began to show an interest in computer programming at age 13. After
graduating from the Lakeside school, he started computer programming for some systems. Later he joined Harward college
where he continued to work on many computer based solutions.

Gates dropped out of Harward to work at Honeywell for sometime. He soon had his own vision of starting a new company.
He along with his close friend Paul Allen registered this company and called it “Microsoft”. Gates developed an interpreter
namely “Altair Basic” which became popular very soon with the computer hobbyists. During Microsoft's early years, all
employees had broad responsibility for the company's business. Gates was an active software developer in Microsoft's early
history, particularly on the company's programming language products, but his role most of its history was primarily as
management and executive. Gates oversaw the business details, but continued to write code as well. In the first five years,
Gates personally reviewed every line of code the company shipped, and often rewrote parts of it as he saw fit.

IBM approached Microsoft in July 1980, regarding its upcoming personal computer, the IBM PC. The computer company
first proposed that Microsoft write the BASIC interpreter. When IBM's representatives mentioned that they needed an
operating system, Microsoft delivered it to IBM as PC DOS. But Gates did not offer to transfer the copyright on the operating
system.. Very soon the sales of MS-DOS made Microsoft a major player in the industry.

Between 1979 and 1981, Microsoft's growth exploded and staff increased .Microsoft launched its first retail version
of Microsoft Windows on November 20, 1985. a system that used a mouse to drive a graphic interface, displaying text and
images on the screen. This differed greatly from the text-and-keyboard driven MS-DOS system where all text formatting
showed on the screen as code and not what actually would be printed. Gates pushed ahead with the Windows software,
improving its operation and expanding its uses. Later Microsoft introduced Microsoft Office, which bundled office productivity
applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel into one system that was compatible with all Microsoft products.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gates was the world's highest-earning billionaire in 2013. Time magazine
named Gates one of the 100 people who most influenced the 20th century, In 2015, Gate, received the Padma Bhushan,
India's third-highest civilian award for their social work in the country. Gates along with his wife has created a foundation for
charity which is ranked as the wealthiest foundation. The Foundation allows benefactors to access information that shows
how its money is being spent,

In 2014, Gates announced that he would be stepping down as chairman of Microsoft in order to move into a new position as
technology adviser.Gates is also known as an avid reader, and the ceiling of his large home library is engraved with a
quotation from The Great Gatsby. He also enjoys playing bridge, tennis, and golf.

These days, Gates continues to devote much of his time and energy to the work of the Gates Foundation. The organization
tackles international and domestic issues, such as health and education.

To become a successful computer engineer, I need to be good at electrical engineering and computer science. Especially
when I'm interested in computer programming which is also known as coding. I would want to design my very own computer
software that would bring convenience to people all around the world. I want all the big computer company to like my
software and start selling it. I also wished that one day i would become the most popular and successful computer engineer.
I want my school and also my family to be proud of me, and everyone will realised my existence. I need to study hard now in
order to fullfil my ambition. I will pay more attention and concentrate more in my studies.
