3. Write predictions in English using the verb to be, preset time and adjectives- Use
the NUMERATIVE COMA and explain its rules of use.

The verb to be in the present tense is used in the following way.

SUJETO PRESENT

Example:

He is in Europe. (Él está en Europa).

The tax is high. (El impuesto es alto).

She is angry. (Ella está enojada).

He and she are cousins. (Él y ella son primos).

You are very serious. (Tú eres muy serio).

Both cousins are tall. (Ambos primos son altos).

He is a clever boy. (Él es un chico muy listo).

We are members of the club. (Nosotros somos miembro

del club).

She is a good football player. (Ella es una buena jugadora

de futbol).

He is a pilot. (Él es un piloto).

It is a sunny day. (Es un día soleado).

 ADJECTIVE AFTER THE VERB TO BE

When we use adjectives with the verb TO BE, the adjective or adjectives must be written
after the verb TO BE, like this:

 She is happy (ella es feliz)

 They are happy and intelligent (son felices e inteligentes)
 I am happy, intelligent and polite (soy feliz, inteligente y educado)

PRAYERS WITH ENUMERATIVE COMA

En español:

1. Soy un cinéfilo me encantan las películas de acción, de drama, de suspenso, de terror

y de comedia.

2. Mis frutas favoritas son las uvas, las mandarinas, las fresas, el mango, las manzanas y
los melocotones.

3. Las materias favoritas en el colegio son: castellano, geografía, historia, sociales e

inglés.

In English:

1. I am a movie buff I love action movies, drama, suspense, horror and comedy.

2. My favorite fruits are grapes, tangerines, strawberries, mango, apples and peaches.

3. Favorite subjects at school are: Spanish, geography, history, social and English
