Goal: we want to create an application available in the Shopify App Store that will assist

individuals in making decisions on Facebook Ad Manager. The application will pull information
from an individual’s Shopify account as well as their Ad Manager account and create certain
displays based on rules that are setup.

Information Pulled from Shopify:

The application will need to pull information from Shopify Dashboard Analytics such as
Average Order Value, Total Orders, Total Sales, etc. It must do so at the daily, weekly, and
monthly levels.

Information Pulled from Ad Manager:

Facebook Ad Manager displays a lot of different metrics through their platform. The app would
have to be able to analyze the output of these metrics.

Based on all of the information pulled from Shopify and Facebook Ad Manager, the user
can set rules that indicate certain adsets/ads/campaigns as “good” adsets/ads/campaigns by
highlighting the adset/ads/campaigns green, certain adsets/ads/campaigns as “bad”
adsets/ads/campaigns by highlighting the adsets/ads/campaigns red, and certain
adsets/ads/campaigns as “neutral” by highlighting the adsets/ads/campaigns yellow.

The rules needs to be able to be customized and have a good user experience for customization.
For example, I could set a rule like:

If the adset cost per result is higher than the average order value (taken from Shopify) x .55%
(provided by the user) and unique checkouts / purchases (calculated output from Facebook Ad
Manager) is less than 2, highlight the adset green. This is just an example of the type of logic
that we would want the user to be able to code.

Final Display:

Based on the information gathered and the logic that’s created, the app will indicate certain
campaigns/adsets/ads as good, bad, or neutral with some sort of colored highlighting or colored
display.

We are essentially trying to build an app that will help Facebook advertisers make
decisions based on rules and logic.
