t Saiva Siddhanta System and its removal process

Introduction
Initially, our soul is a part of the Absolute. Due to the ignorance of the soul, it finite itself from the
Absolute and get separated. The separation evolved into the forms of life. Once the soul takes life, due
to its ignorance, it is bonded with materials and chain of deeds. According to the Saiva Siddhanta
System, there are 3 types of excrement with the soul to be removed in order to dissolve or merge back
with the Absolute.

3 types of excrement to be removed from soul to stop rebirth

✔ Bondage with materials - gives means and objects of pleasure and pain
✔ Deeds – cause and effects of deeds / actions
✔ Finiteness – mental limitations and boundaries, ego, self-centered, self-importance

Excrement no: 3 - Bondage with materials eg. money, gold

✔ An elephant toy is made of teak wood, in the child’s perception, it is just an elephant toy but in
the carpenter’s perception, it is teak wood craved into a wooden sculpture.
 ✔ Like that, all the worldly materials are forms of God, in the ignorant soul’s perception, it is just
materials and God is kept hidden but in the awakened soul’s perception, it is God exists
everywhere (in the form of materials) and materials are kept hidden.
✔ This spiritual awareness and disciplines unshackle the bondage with materials and then one can
use the worldly materials wisely according to their needs.
✔ This excrement can be removed completely from our ignorant soul by practicing the spiritual
awareness and disciplines in our mind.

Excrement no: 2 – Effects of Deeds eg. sinful acts like immoral sex
✔ Our bad temperaments such as greed, anger, lust, miserliness, vengeance, vanity and anxiety in
mind which will lead to do sinful acts such as lying & stealing, immoral sex, quarrel with
others, killing, weak relationship with others and mental disorders.
✔ All these bad temperaments to be converted into good temperaments by practicing spiritual
disciplines – greed into contentedness, anger into patience, lust into chastity, miserliness into
charity, vanity state into equality state in the mind, vengeance into forgiveness and anxiety into
serenity i.e. peace of mind. With this good temperaments, one can do only good deeds.
✔ Synchronization of thoughts, speeches and deeds is a must to become a good human. i.e. one
should do what he said and one should say what he thought and it must be good only. By
practicing this principle, the records of deeds will become pure.
✔ Sin is nothing but deeds with improper records or records not tallying with one’s thoughts to
speech made and / or speech made to action did. One’s soul to become sinless, it is essential to
sync the thoughts, speech and action to maintain proper and tallying records / imprints.
✔ This excrement can be removed completely from our ignorant soul by practicing spiritual
disciplines and the path of Truth in our life.

Excrement no: 1 – Finiteness eg. ego

✔ Finiteness is nothing but the ego, self-centeredness which can be removed only with the grace
of God, then only the Soul can merge with the Absolute.
✔ Love all living beings unconditionally to attain bliss and finally, enlightenment.
✔ This excrement can be removed completely with the grace of God only, from our ignorant soul
by practicing the unconditional love in our mind.
