Designation: Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Leading the site instrumentation and electronics team, consisting of Electronic officers & maintenance
technicians. Assigned with the additional responsibility of leading mechanical team of Otics area.
Acting as technical authority for all instrumentation and automation matters on site from production &
quality support, carrying out plant modifications and managing projects of all automation, control,
instrumentation and functional safety as well as ensuring compliance aspects.

• Provide continuing support for all automation systems on site including Utilities, including
specification/selection of process instrumentation, PLC specification & configuration.
• Leading the core maintenance activities at production floor level to ensure site perform & meet the
commercial demand.
 • Conduct / review Risk Assessments, Gap analysis, SOP’s, internal audits L1 and participate in L2 & L3
audit of Quality & EHS, TP13 audit to ensure compliance with GSK standards and maintain audit
readiness.
• Compliances of Global Engineering/Quality Alerts.
• Participate in the Annual Budget and project plans and support Engineering Manager for
development of site CAPEX.
• Conduct the conditional assessment of all the equipment/ machineries & instruments for the
Site Facility Master Plan. (SFMP)
• Proactively identifies challenges/Risks & plan it accordingly through Risk Management System &
Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) platform. 
• A key part of the position involved carrying out Preventive Maintenance and Calibration of
Instruments to ensure compliance with GSK standards and maintenance and Calibration Strategies as
per GES through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Provide assistance & oversees in troubleshooting complex Engineering problems and failures by
working closely with cross functional teams. Review and analyze the equipment OEE and devise plan
for improvements.
• Responsible for procuring machines electronics/electrical parts from OEM/Local market to ensure
smooth productivity & operations.
• Contribute towards GPS tools to implement effective GPS system to ensure robustness in the
processes & to ensure removal of wastes.
• Responsible to perform CSV of site Equipment’s and sustainability of their operation within their
validated parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability as per CSQMS GSK guidelines.
Provide technical support for development of life cycle documents.
• Monitor EHS related Engineering KPIs including Machinery safety, Waste reduction, Energy efficiency
Zero Accident Promotion.
• Responsible for inspection & maintenance of addressable fire alarm system, Gas detection system
and Cargo lifts.


machine OEE by 10%. (Completed in November 2017)
• Process improvement & head count reduction by installing OCV system on PRX line for
online batch variable data verification. (Completed in October 2017)
• LED lightning project for Production and Utility areas for energy conservation up to
