For problems 1 – 3 use long division to perform the indicated

division.

1. Divide 3x4−5x2+33x4−5x2+3 by x+2x+2

2. Divide x3+2x2−3x+4x3+2x2−3x+4 by x−7x−7

3. Divide 2x5+x4−6x+92x5+x4−6x+9 by x2−3x+1x2−3x+1

For problems 4 – 6 use synthetic division to perform the

indicated division.

1. Divide x3+x2+x+1x3+x2+x+1 by x+9x+9

2. Divide 7x3−17x3−1 by x+2x+2

3. Divide 5x4+x2−8x+25x4+x2−8x+2 by x−4x−4
