 GLOSSARY

Algorithm: set of well-defined rules for solving a problem. A software program is the

transcription, in programming language, of an algorithm.

Command: instruction that a user gives to the operating system of the computer to perform a

certain task.

Linguae de programación: Sistema de escritura para la descripción precisa de algoritmos o

programas informáticos.

Client: The person or company receiving a good, service, product or idea, in exchange for money

or another item of value.

Diagram: a diagram is a graph that presents schematically information.

Redundancy: Redundancy is a property of messages, consisting of having predictable parts from

the rest of the message and, therefore, in itself do not provide new information or "repeat" part of

the information.

Null value: Represents a value for an attribute that is currently unknown or not applicable for

that record.
