Introduction to the Candidate Performance Report

This report is provided for each candidate who has applied to McDonald’s and taken the aptitude and
psychometric assessments as part of the selection process. This report is divided into three sections:
- Section I describes the competencies on which the candidate is measured
- Section II provides the candidate’s actual results
- Section III provides some interview questions that will be helpful in evaluating the candidate’s
qualification

Section I: Competency Description

This section defines the key behaviors and requirements for the job on which the candidate is
measured:

Customer Orientation:It measures the ability to focus on and respond to customer needs effectively,
and establishing a friendly and supportive rapport with all customers.

Coaches & Manages Others:It measures ability to provide feedback and guidance for performance,
and developing and influencing the attitudes and behaviours of others.

Decision Making & Judgment:It measures the ability to analyze and understand information,
identify problems and provide solutions, as well as make logical decisions based on relevant data.
Adaptability:It measures the ability to behave flexibly and adapt quickly to different situations and to
also remain calm and think clearly in challenging situations.

Working Productively:It measures the ability to attend to critical details and ensure accuracy, plan
and prioritize work tasks and resources effectively, and continuously aim to improve processes and
services.

Result Orientation & Drive:It measures the ability to achieve high levels of productivity and strive for
results, being perceived as reliable and dependable, and demonstrating willingness to learn new
tasks and procedures.

Section II: Candidate Results

a specific situation in your past when you had to train a co-worker or new employee.

- What challenges did you face?
- What was the final result?

3. Decision Making & Judgment

Describe a time when you were able to identify a small problem before it grew into a much larger
problem.
- What was the problem?
- How did you identify it?
- What action did you take?
- What was the result?
4. Adaptability

Describe a time when you had to be flexible in regards to your work or a work situation.
- What was the situation?
- Why did you have to be flexible?
- What was the result?

5. Working Productively

Describe a recent task/assignment that was fairly complex and required a good deal of planning.
- What was the task/assignment?
- How did you plan it?
- What was the final outcome?

6. Result Orientation & Drive

Give an example of a time when you took on a responsibility that was above your current skill
level.
- What was the situation?
- Why did you take the higher responsibility?
- How did you manage it?
- What challenges did you face?
