 Release Overview
Following the previous release of AxTraxNG V 27.5.7.8 (15 August 2018), this release of AxTraxNG V 27.5.7.16
(27 January 2019) is the last version of the V 27.5.x.x, which aligns all of the latest bug fixes and system
optimization of all major cases encountered in 2018. This optimized system has undergone automated testing,
and live site optimization in systems with 100s of control panels.
In addition, following a range of open issues from customers, we have optimized the AC-825IP control panel
operation to a new level, with updated management facility for offline/online mode synchronization and panel
connectivity resilience to operate under heavier loads to better handle live administrator policies to the system. If a
user’s rights are changed, the system-wide dissemination of the new policy is deployed faster and if an update is
pending to any panel, the panel performs a Server query. Any admin policies in the system are immediately invoked
in the panel, even before a mass system synch.
This version has all the firmware for the new panels embedded, and includes all the improvements in performance
for the AC-825IP and its expansions. This is a major release that will let our distribution channels both consume
sales of all the “A panels” and support the penetration of the new “B panels” into their sales channels. We see the
introduction of the B panels to be a big improvement over the “A panels” for the future with a fully re-designed
enclosure (ME-1015), and a new DIN rail mounting for the PCBA-only controllers.

The release of AxTraxNG is the last baseline version that optimizes the full series of control panels sold during 2018.
It is the most up-to-date alignment of all the control panel hardware. We recommend this for system-wide updates for
systems with AC-825IP, including updating the firmware of all the panels in the system.

4. Known Issues
 Snapshot pop-up does not show from some cameras connected to ViTrax
 ViTrax™ pop-up video stream might show with a delay of a few seconds before displaying
 AC-825IP AC links might not work while the AC-825IP is in configuration mode

5. Miscellaneous
 It is very important to make sure that the boot loaders that are in the control panels and expansions are matched
with the version of the control panels so that the firmware update process is successful.
 Boot loaders for the control panels and expansions are not public information for this release note and are only
known by Global Tech Support Group (TSG) and Rosslare Manufacturing teams.
