By the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Assalamualaikum w.t.b…Thank you to
master of ceremony, the honorable judges, teachers and my fellow friends.
Today, it is my honors here to talk about Time Management. There is a quote from William
Penn which is “Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” For me, it is a best quote
that makes me think of how we manage our time. Do you manage your time wisely? Well, here
are some tips to help you develop good time management skills.
Firstly, the time management skills and disciplines that we develop as a student can help us to
create good study habits. Plan for weekly reviews and set aside blocks of study. It can be done
by make a Daily To-Do List. At the end of each day, we can organize and schedule our next day
include routines and study time. We can also allot time for planned recreation, sports, having a
social life with family and friends and of course leave free time for ourselves. Remember, all
work and no play makes jack a dull boy. A balance study time and leisure time, will make us
balance physically and mentally that allow us to have a healthy lifestyle.
Thirdly is overcome of procrastination. Without a date, you will procrastinate. Whenever you get
an assignment, set a goal for when you’re going to start it so you can finish without a last minute
panic. Start early to avoid a frantic finish and it also can help you to keep stress to a minimum.
Teachers and friends,
Without a good time management, we will have a stressful life. It leads to the disappointment of
not having worked hard and wasted time. Furthermore, people with insufficient time
management skills can't make sufficient time to spend with family and friends. Try to avoid
addicted to procrastination. It is because a major disadvantage of procrastinating is will make us
lost time. As a consequence, there are insufficient interactions between family members who
are too busy for the minor, yet essential, pleasures of family life.
My fellow friends.
Time is the best teacher. If you want to make good use of your time, you have got to know what
is most important and then give it all you have got. School is not about studies and classes
alone; there are other activities and interests that you can pursue and which most students
seldom find quality time for. When you know how to manage your time well, you have enough
time left for social and sporting activities even after devoting an ample number of hours for your
lessons. Some students even manage to find and hold down a job and make money while they
learn.
Each of us has the same 24 hours in a day, but some of us manage to get more accomplished
because we use time more efficiently. This is the difference between successful and responsible
students and others who don’t value time. When you get into the habit of procrastinating as a
student, you tend to do the same when you’re an adult. Habits that are learned when young are
hard to change the older you become.
