Sub: - Request for extension of license of Food Plaza at DHONE Rly station-Reg.
Ref: - my earlier request letter dated 28.11.2018

In continuation of my request letter cited above, (copy enclosed as Annexure-1) I would

like to bring the following additional facts to your kind notice, for considering the extension of
contract for the Food Plaza at Dhone Railway station.

I have been allotted the Food Plaza at Dhone Railway station by IRCTC Ltd and in
operational since 04.06.2010. Since then I have been operating the unit without any adverse
complaints from the passengers.

Allotment of additional space in front of Food Plaza:-

The Food Plaza allotted in my favour was towards interior side, not visible to
passengers, as such to enhance quality of service and for providing better services to the
travelling public, an extension counter was constructed after obtaining approval from IRCTC
and accordingly from railway Engineering department. For the additional space the license fee
of the Food Plaza was enhanced from Rs. 3,04,750/- to Rs. 4,18,420/- which is nearly 37.3 %
of earlier license fee. The copy of permission letter and details of license fee is enclosed as
Annexure-2&3. I have paid the license fee, as advised by IRCTC.

For construction of the counters and to maintain ambience at par with Dhone station
building, I invested 8.38 lahks towards construction of food counters, PAD and Take-Away
counters (in the space allotted).

All these were possible by taking loan from open market, at higher interest rates. This
investment was planned with the idea keeping in mind that, further extension of 3 years will be
granted as per the tender conditions and the executed agreement (Annexure 4&5). This is
financial aspect of the food plaza.

Details of Services rendered :-

Sir, I would like to bring to your notice some major services rendered by Food Plaza/Dhone
in recent time...

1) Catering arrangements for Election Special trains:-

Catering arrangements are made for the election special trains with good quality of food
served. We have served bulk orders in midnights also within a short notice. (Details
enclosed as Annexure-6&7)

2) Emergency service, during accident at Dhone station yard in 2015 :-

We have supplied packed food and water to the accident spot occurred at station yard in
the year 2015.

3) e-catering service :-

We have been supplying good food to travelling public through e-catering service. The
details of appreciation received from travelling passengers towards the e-catering service is
enclosed as Annexure- 8,9,10,11

In all the above services there were absolutely no complaints.

In view of the above facts, I request your good self to kindly extend/renew the license of
Food Plaza/Dhone, as there is a provision of extension/renewal (with consent of IRCTC) as per
the tender conditions and the executed agreement and I assure you that I will extend the same
services to the travelling public which will enhance the image of IRCTC.
