6 Unplug connector of coolant temperature
sensor (B65)
7 Remove soundproofing part for engine at
upper right
8 Dismantle engine start and engine stop
pushbutton switch (S10/S11) from engine
block
9 Loosen the terminal screws (1) on the unit
pumps (Y6 to Y13) and remove the electrical
cables
10 Remove connector from TDC sensor cylinder

15 Remove connectors (3, 4) from MR/PLD
control unit (A6)
16 Remove connector from crankshaft angle
position sensor (B15)
17 Remove connector of oil level sensor (B14)
18 Remove the bracket (5) for the coolant Code BA9 vehicles only.

19 Remove coolant line (7) from radiator below Installation: Check hose clamp and
coolant line, replace if necessary.
20 Detach coolant line (8, 9) at coolant pipe Installation: Check hose clamp and
(10) coolant line, replace if necessary.
21 Detach coolant hose (10) at coolant pump Installation: Install new gasket (11).

22 Remove engine wiring harness bracket (12)
23 Remove engine wiring harness Installation: Ensure correct routing of
engine wiring harness.
Replace cable tie.
24 Install in the reverse order
25 Inspect cooling system for leaks AR20.00-W-1010A
