Installation:

1. Extract all files from volvo kit.rar - Rar password is Edward!@#$%^&*()

2. Run techtoolinstaller_dev.reg
3. Run setClientID.exe as admin. Enter 179781 for ID in the New box and click Set
4. When fido asks for ID during install use this ID (179781)
5. Run prerequisites.cmd. Agree/OK to all and enter ID when requested
6. Run MainInstallationPackages.cmd
7. Allow all processes to finish - be patient, some of the processes take a long time
8. Open Tech Tool and exit at the login window
9. Reboot pc
10. Client Update should run on restart after a short while - all updates takes a long, long time to update to 2.5.87
11. Don't worry if any updates fail. You will get the chance to download them again before it finishes.
12. Reboot pc

Instructions to Activate Tech Tool after you have done a proper installation:
(corrected by stranger for MHHauto)
1. Copy zzz.cmd, zzz.exe and zzzz.exe to C:\
2. Run zzz.cmd as Administrator
3. Open Tech Tool and exit at the Login window. This step is very important!!!

4. Copy files from\LOGIN to C:\Program Files (x86)\Tech Tool\Tech Tool\Login, replacing the existing ones  WRONG !!!
(IF YOU DO THIS STEP – YOU’LL GET BAF10003 ERROR DURING TECH TOOL START)
Don’t touch Login folder and don’t move/replace any files !!!

4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Tech Tool\Tech Tool\Login and find file VolvoIt.Waf.Login.Ui.dll.config

Open this file with any XML-editor (for example, you can use STDU XML Editor) and edit it as shown on the picture.
After this step “Work offline” option will be available in login window  WRIGHT !!!
OR you can use already modified file from this archive and put it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Tech Tool\Tech Tool\Login
replacing original one.

5. Go to Start, and type services.msc in the box. Press enter to open Services (local)
6. Stop the Volvo Tech Tool Service Controller service
7. Go to C:\ and run zzzz.exe as Administrator
8. Change the name and address details to the ones you want.
You can change the User ID to something easier if you like, or leave it as M112233
Choose User type "Developer"
Click the "No connection to central" tickbox
9. Click "create DB with new key". Wait for the message box to show DB created. Exit.
10. Go back to Services
11. Start the Volvo Tech Tool Service Controller service
12. Find and start the Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN Common service
13. close Services

Start TechTool, enter the User ID (default was M112233), click "Work offline" and click OK.
Scroll down to the bottom of the T&C box, and choose Accept.
