Hacienda High School opens Oplan Kalusugan (OK) sa DepEd Program

July 19, 2018- Teachers, students, brgy. Officials, and Brgy. Health Workers (BHW) gathered together in
support as Hacienda High School opened Oplan Kalusugan (OK) sa DepEd. During the first part of the
program, an opening message was given by Mrs. Jonaly B. Bonite which was immediately followed by the
message of the guest speaker, Mrs. Maria Fe Obias. In her message, she stated that the goal of OK sa
DepEd is to raise students’ awareness and participate in different programs like School-Based Feeding
Program, National Preventive Education, Adolescent Reproductive Health Education, and Wash in School
and Health Services (WINS). She emphasized that students’ participation is a must in order that OK sa
DepEd program will be successful. Another message was given by the SK chairman of barangay Hacienda,
Hansel Burce. His message focused on the role of the youth in the society. After his message, selected
students of Hacienda High School were luckily given health kits which were distributed by Mr. Danilo B.
Frando. The second part of the program was the School-Based Feeding program in which the students
enjoyed a nutritious and delicious meal. The program ended at 10am with a smile on everyone’s face.

Hacienda High School Celebrates Annual Cooking Competition

Hacienda High School conducted its annual cooking competition last July 20, 2018 as part of the
celebration of Nutrition Month. Contingents from Grades 7-12 arrived early during the competition. This
year’s cooking contest is quite different from the previous years because it is not only participated by
students but with parents as well- the teams are composed of two students and one parent. Before the
competition began, Mr. Rychard Bolo, T.L.E. Coordinator gave the guidelines and some reminders. The
contest started at exactly 9:00 am giving 2 hours for the contestants to showcase their cooking prowess.
The members of the board of judges were Mr. Erwin D. Bucay, Mrs. Adelina B. Balingbing, Mr. Jose Bufi
and Mr. Hansel Burce being the chairman.
