Reassembly – Replacing I-CORE module
- In order to reassemble the GeneXpert, simply reverse the steps taken during disassembly
- However, please take note of the following steps and tips to ensure the instrument is correctly
reassembled
- Once again, take care of not crushing cables at each step and avoid over tightening the
screws
- When reinserting the module it is necessary to again tilt the module and ensure that the door
goes over the metal tab and that the black plastic base of the module comes through the hole

Reassembly – Check doors
- Following reassembly, if the doors become difficult to open or close (there will be a clicking
noise and feel) then this indicates that the front feet have been replaced too tightly
- To solve the problem simply slightly loosen the screws on the front feet of the instrument until
the door operates freely

Reassembly – Check connection
- The software will display each module as Available if all connections are good
- If the software cannot detect one or more modules then this indicates that there is a problem
with one or more of the connections
