II. PROPOSED ADDITIONAL PROGRAM AND SLOTS

The proposed additional Program offering is ACADEMIC TRACK –

GENERAL ACADEMIC STRAND ( GAS ). The slot being proposed is only
one for academic – General Academic Strand.

III. JUSTIFICATIONS
It has been three years from the time since our school Kalubihon High
School offered Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Track with
specialization in Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, and Food and
Beverage Services for our Grade 11 and 12 Senior High School program.
For the past three years we are grateful to our stakeholders both from public
and private stakeholders who extends assistance to our school particularly
to our senior high school with regards to work immersions and other related
activities.
However, based from our current child mapping and early registration
data, there were number of learners from Grade 10 who make inquiries for
a different program. In connection to this, we are requesting for an additional
program offering for our incoming Senior High School. We would like to have
General Academic Strand (GAS) as additional program. We believed that
this strand provides students with basic electives from the other strands to
help them get a feel of what the different strands and courses have to offer.
Hence, competent teachers, functional classrooms, and additional facilities
were set through the purpose of providing the requirements and to adapt
changes necessary for 21st century learners.
Nevertheless, it is so fitting that technical-vocational livelihood track will
allow students to join the workforce immediately upon graduation while the
academic track like GAS prepares students for further studies. So, it is high
time, however, to respond and help improve the quality of our basic
education by addressing the demand of our community.

IV. WILL THERE BE CHANGES IN PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS?

1. SLOTS
There will be two allotted slots for our program offering: TVL
(Technology, Vocational and Livelihood) and Academic Strand (GAS).
The 2 program offerings can be catered considering the teachers,
classrooms, facilities, tools and equipments and most especially the
enrollees.

2. CLASSROOMS
The number of classrooms are enough even if there will be
incoming enrollees for General Academic Strand (GAS).There will be 4
classrooms to serve our SHS learners. The fact that the 3 classrooms
will be utilized by the GAS and TVL students and still there will be one
vacant classroom for instruction in the future use. Classrooms and chairs
are enough to cater SHS number of enrollees.

3. FACILITIES
The SHS workshop building is a clear manifestation of an ideal
facility. Facilities will be utilized with comfort by our SHS students. There
will be no shortage of facilities, tools and equipments once the SHS
operates. It will serve for good in the instruction for teaching and learning
process.

4. TEACHERS
The SHS teaching force is composed of 5 teachers. The 5
teaching force will be utilized and enough for the program offering and
number of enrollees. No shortage of teachers. All subjects classified as
Core subjects, specialized subjects and electives will be taught and
handled by the SHS teachers.

5. PARTNERSHIP
Partnerships with the stakeholders will still be the same. No
changes made among partners. They can still accommodate our SHS
learners for their immersion.
V. HOW WILL YOU ADDRESS CHANGES IN PROGRAM
REQUIREMENTS?

1. SLOTS
For Academic Track- GAS strand only the subjects will be
arranged and scheduled for teachers. Elective subjects will be Bread &
Pastry Production and FBS which can be catered by TVL teachers. Core
subjects and applied subjects can be handled by HUMSS and
Science/Math teachers.

2. CLASSROOMS
Classrooms are already prepared and ready for instruction.
There will be 4 classrooms for instruction and 2 classrooms for
workshop.

3. FACILITIES
The new SHS 2 storey workshop building will be utilized by the
learners. The 42 sets of computer units given by the DCP batch 36 could
accommodate the learners in a 1:1 ratio of computers for research,
instruction and in a teaching and learning process.

4. TEACHERS
There will be no teacher needs for the new program offering. The
5 teaching force of SHS is enough to handle the learners.

5. PARTNERSHIPS
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by both parties
between stakeholders and the school. They will be still our partners
during immersion time of our learners. Our partner stakeholders will
support the SHS program. To name them for recognition are as follows
:
A. PLAZA ALEMANIA HOTEL
B. MADELICIOUS BAKESHOPPE
C. DALIPUGA BRGY COUNCIL
