SAN JUAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

BRIGADA ESKWELA
NARRATIVE REPORT
Every little hands need a helping hand.
This saying goes hand in hand with this school year’s Brigada Eskwela as San Juan Elementary
School launched its Brigada Eskwela 2018.
The Brigada Eskwela was formally started on May 28 until June 2, 2018. This was formally
started after the conduct of extensive awareness campaign like posting of campaign banners in the
public places of the vicinity.
Meanwhile, the stakeholders headed by the Barangay Captain Lamberto Malabanan and the
barangay Councillors spearheaded the volunteerism as they work hand in hand with the Officer-in-
Charge, Mrs. Joy M. Gallon and the all the teachers headed by the Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Mrs.
Lani M. Olan.
The repair of the chairs, armchairs and tables were done by the volunteer parents. They also
made sure that the classrooms and school ground were cleaned. The roofs, pathways and classrooms
were repainted by the volunteers and teachers as well. Ventilation facilities such as electric fans were
repaired and maintained by the electrician and some volunteer parents. They work together to make a
well-ventilated classroom conducive for learning.
Somehow, parents of intermediate pupils, lend a hand in the propagation of gulayan sa paaralan.
They planted seedlings and ornamental plants just to be sure that gulayan sa paaralan will be
maintained for the whole year.
Another act of courage were the food donated by the newly elected councillor, Councillor Albert
Viñas and Florinda Viñas and a volunteer parent who donated merienda. They made sure that the
teachers and volunteers got a healthy lunch to continue their work for the whole day.
These volunteerism created a school ready for the opening of the the school year 2018-2019.
With their work of courage the school opening was possible and ready for the challenge of the continous
study for the betterment of the pupils, school and the community as well
