Rosefest 2019: Engage in your community’s success
Rosefest is the annual event where Roseville
community members come together to get to know
each other, catch up and celebrate the city.
There’s no better way to do so than by coming
out together for the summer fun around this year’s
festival theme, “Engaging in Our Community’s Suc-
cess.”
“This theme/slogan also just happens to be one
of our long-standing community aspirations,”
tweeted Mayor Dan Roe.
Rosefest 2019 will return with favorite activities
and get-togethers, along with some new events and
a slight re-jiggering of the schedule.
“We’re kicking off with the parade this year,”
said Roseville Recreation Superintendent Lauren
Deal.
She explained that the move of rolling out the
Rose Parade and holding it on Monday, June 24,
prior to the Rosefest week of activities, was done to
better accommodate the Fourth of July, as had been
done in previous years.
Longtime Roseville resident Monte Johnson —
aka this year’s King Boreas from the St. Paul Win-
ter Carnival — will be a grand marshal of the
parade, along with the Brausen family, whose auto-
motive service shops have kept the area running for
more than 50 years.
