Sub: Infromation for registration of FIR in respect of the murder of one Ram Jyoti Devi – Reg.

Sir,
I, Prasad Mukhiya, a resident of Village- Pili, PS- Dumra, Distt: XYZ, am presenting this
written application for the registration of FIR at about 13:30 hrs today, i.e., on 16.05.2009.
I and my family live at my mother-in-law’s house. Her name is Ramjyoti Devi and is aged 82 years. In
the house adjacent to ours reside three brothers being (a) Ramdhiraj Mukhiya, (b) Shivdhari Mukhiya
and (c) Thaga Mukhiya.
Shivdhari Mukhiya had converted as his own a plot of land belonging to my mother-in-law
Ramjyoti Devi. Besides, the three brothers have also blocked the way to our house. My mother-in-law
had, for considerable time, been telling the three brothers to not block/obstruct the path-way.
However, the three brothers refused to budge and continually abused my mother-in-law. Besides, they
would also drag us into physical fights.
On 14.05.2009 at about 11 AM, when my mother-in-law requested the three brothers to clear
the passage which they had obstructed, (a) Ramdhiraj Mukhiya, (b) Shivdhari Mukhiya, (c) Thaga
Mukhiya, and (d) Janarsi Devi hit her as well as us with iron rod and clubs. Ramdhiraj Mukhiya hit
my mother-in-law on her head with an iron rod. Shivdhari Mukhiya, Thaga Mukhiya and Janarsi Devi
also hit my mother-in-law brutally with clubs and sticks. As a consequence my mother-in-law
Ramjyoti Devi sustained injuries. Besides, my son Manoj Kumar, aged about 6 years, sustained a leg
fracture. However, we could not get him treated on account of lack of money. I immediately brought a
painkiller from Chaudhary Drug Store and administered it to my mother-in-law.
Yet again on 15.05.2009, with the intention to kill, the four accused persons attacked our
entire family and in fact hit my mother-in-law on her head with an iron rod. Thaga Mukhiya fired a
shot aiming at my old mother-in-law. Today, i.e., on 16.05.2009, at about 09:00 hrs my old mother-in-
law succumbed to the shock sustained on account of the fire-shot as also the injuries.
This is my statement. I pray that the appropriate action be taken and that justice be done.
