Abstract
Smart devices at your house ease your life, but you can never fully trust
everything smart, right?
Reducing time, money, and effort, those are the aims we take in count
when looking for a new smart device.

2
Introduction

As the days of technology become an important part of human life and

with its continuous progress becomes a larger part of it cannot be
dispensed with, and has developed this technology to facilitate a lot on
human life, for example, was developed on cars, we note that as the years
progressed the manufacture of cars to become easier and become more
comfort, Technology is more advanced when it becomes remote control of
homes. Have you ever come across your home in a hurry and forgot the
lights lit up? Have you ever forget the food in the oven? Many of these
things you may wish to control remotely.

Human beings are naturally skeptical; we want to get everything checked,

even if we’re sure it’s fine. When you’re far away from your house, you
need to know whether you set the security system and turned off the
condition system or lighting, or whether the kids are studying or watching
TV or not. You can check all of this only by your smart phone.
Convenience, control, and peace of mind are the powerful combination
that the newest smart products are selling.

3
The controlling houses is a solution for humans services, it provide the
humans to control their homes by an application on their phones or other
network devices.

Objective

The origins of the smart home

With the 1975 release of X10, a communication protocol for home

automation, the smart home, once a pipe dream a la The Jetsons, came to
life. X10 sends 120 kHz radio frequency (RF) bursts of digital information
onto a home's existing electric wiring to programmable outlets or switches.
These signals convey commands to corresponding devices, controlling
how and when the devices operate. A transmitter could, for example, send
a signal along the house's electric wiring, telling a device to turn on at a
specific time. [1]

4
Methodology

Examples of smart home technology

 TVs can be controlled by the internet.

 Monitoring, remotely control and schedule the home temperature by
Wi-Fi.
 Smart locks.
 Customize and controlling the house lighting.
 Control the Coffee makers.

Analysis and Discussion

How smart homes work?

Smart homes and home automation are becoming more common, it’s
because of the jaw-dropping success of smart devices.

The first smart home device was X10, X10 was created by Pico Electronics
in Scotland in 1975, If you want to turn off a lamp in another room, the

5
transmitter will issue a message in numerical code that includes the
following:

 An alert to the system that it’s issuing a command.

 An identifying unit number for the device that should receive the
command.
 A code that contains the actual command, such as turn it off.

Zigbee and Z-Wave are the most common system that use to control the
houses , they use low power , short range of radios Zigbee chips are
available from multiple companies, while Z-Wave chips are only available
from Sigma Designs.

The all things that controlled in house are connect with each other by one
device and one application not separated, by thing called SMART HOME
HUB. The smart home hub is a hardware device that acts as the central
point of the smart home system and is able to sense, process data and
communicate wirelessly. It combines all of the disparate apps into a single
smart home app that can be controlled remotely by homeowners, such as
Amazon Echo, Google Home, Insteon Hub Pro, Samsung SmartThings
and Wink Hub, etc.
