Robo-Olympics

Introduction

Robolympics is an interesting robotic event with an innovative problem statement. The might of
your machines will be put to test in this multi task event.
The event requires the combination of skill and pace to overcome the hurdles and finish the
objective in minimum time with maximum efficiency.
So roll up your sleeves and get your warrior ready.

Rules :

Problem statement :-

The aim of the participants is to develop a robot which can perform the specific tasks in the best
way possible

1.In case the robot falls from the track it has to restart from the last checkpoint covered with a
penalty .

2. Check points are declared in arena.

3. Points will be awarded on basis of time taken and penalties. Exact system will be declared on
spot.

4. Team with maximum points at end wins.

5. In case of tie between team a knock-out will take place

6. The organizers don’t take any responsibility for any kind of damage caused to the machine
during action.

7. Decision of judges/organizing committee will be final in case of discrepancy.

The machine will be checked for its size, weight and safety before the competition and will be
discarded if found unsafe for other participants and spectators. The machine should not cause
electric power breakdowns.

The machine should not leave spare parts in the arena at any stage. This can lead to time penalty
or even disqualification. Destruction of arena will straight away lead to disqualification.

Supply will be tested.

The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.
Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website or conveyed before the commencement
of event.

Team Rules:

1. A team can consist of a maximum of 4 members.

2. Two teams cannot have same member(s).

3. Students from different colleges can make a team.

Details:
Machine specifications :-

1.The Robot should fit within a box of dimensions 25cm X 25cm X 25cm before starting of the
match and weigh less than 2.5 kg.

2.The external power supply is not included in the size constraint. However in case of onboard
power supply, the machine along with the power supply should fit in the above mentioned box.

3.In case of electric power supply, the voltage at any point must be lower or equal to 24V DC and
the current should not exceed 2 amp during the game.

4.A standard 230V/50 Hz AC power supply will be provided. Any eliminator, adaptor, etc required
will have to be arranged by participants themselves.

5.Both wired and wireless robots are allowed, however no extra points will be given for wireless
robots

6. For wireless mechanism the teams are advised to have dual frequency remote control to
prevent radio conflicts.

7. Name of the team must be properly displayed on the robot.

Note: Any Robot which is not according to the above specifications is liable to be disqualified.
