Apple pie (Double Crust)

Ingredients:

9 inch double crust

Filling:

1 T unsalted butter

¼ c All purpose flour

¾ c packed brown sugar

½ tsp cinnamon

8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 425F. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients, last to put are the
apples. Mix and combine until the apples are cooked slightly. Let it cool down to
avoid soggy pie.
2. Prepare the pie plate. Roll down the crust to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Pour cooled
apples. place second pastry on top (may be strips). Seal and crimp edges.
Slightly brush egg wash on top of the crust to have a golden brown crust.
3. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
4. Let it cool down before slicing and serving. You can put vanilla ice cream for
topping.
