Solo Grant

• Guidelines for SHS Support Grants under the K to 12
Transition Program

• RATIONALE
• Teaching Guides Development for Science, Math and
Business subjects (PNU and UP).
• Provide grants to complement the existing projects in
support to K to 12 implementation and strengthening
of higher education as a whole.
Action Research Grant for Solo
HEI Faculty (Solo Grant)
• One of the two SHS Support Grants that may be
awarded to a qualified HEI faculty.

• Who can avail?


• Individual HEI faculty who are given teaching loads in SHS
(Grade 11 or Grade 12). (At least 1 class).
• Part-time or Full time
• Grant open from 2016-2021 only
• Support shall be provided for grantees in implementing
teaching and learning practices that are evidence-based
and well documented in the form of Action Research.
Action Research Grant for Solo
HEI Faculty (Solo Grant)
• Maximum amount of P50,000 per semester.

• Priority is given to faculty in private institutions or SUCs


who do not hold plantilla positions.

• Must produce a research paper documenting


classroom interventions, methodologies to gather
evidence, and learnings from the experience of
teaching in SHS.
Termination of Grant
• Justifiable grounds which prove the inability of the
grantee to complete the grant (i.e. poor health).
• Non-availability or exhaustion of funds.
• Any act of immorality, drunkenness, dishonesty
and other form of misconduct stated in the CSC
Code of Conduct.
• Conviction of any crime by a court or proper
administrative body
