1. How do you motivate people?


 Communicate and be an example. As a manager you should
communicate to your employees regularly, because it's a way of letting
them know that they are valued. And be an example, because you can't
expect them to work hard if you don't lead by example.
2. How does the company motivate employees?
 Provide them incentives, and they don't have to be expensive, like an
extra paid day off.
3. Which of the two motivates employees more? Salary/mone or social
working environment?
 Social working environment do motivates employees, but as for me
money does, due to personal needs and wants.
4. Does goal setting make employee motivates? How do you find goal setting?
 Yes, because it becomes the mindset of the employees. Setting goals will
make success success measurable, this will even more increase the
performance and motivation of the employees.

1. How do you motivate people?


 Before the shift starts, I usually greet my employees. Giving them
incentives and balance their life and work, like if they have requests, i
must see to it that I can grant them.
2. How does the company motivate employees?
 Give them proper benefits and bonuses.
3. Which of the two motivates employees more? Salary/mone or social
working environment?
 In the two, money/salary motivates more because it's the reason why
they are working, but social working environment also gives a big
impact on keeping them motivated to go to work.
4. Does goal setting make employee motivates? How do you find goal
setting?
 If the market gives is goal / target, they will give the store team
incentives so that they will work hard to hit the goals / target. In
setting goals, it should be attainable and measurable between the
time frame that is being allocated.

1. Which is better? A good leader or a good manager? Why?


 Both are essential, but it depends upon how each other operates. A
good leader will need a good manager, but finding the right leader is a
lot more difficult than finding a good manager.
2. How do you show a very ideal leader to your subordinates?
 A very ideal leader only wants what's the best for the company and for
his/her people. Best leader don't just hire people, they also weigh their
potential.
3. What are 3 best characteristics that a leader should have? And why?
 Honesty, Confidence and Commitment. Honesty, how can you expect
your followers to he honest when you lack these qualities yourself.
Confidence, you should be confident enough to ensure that others
follow your command. Commitment, if you are not fully committed,
then it would be a difficult task for the leader to motivate its employees
to achieve the goal.
4. What do you think is the best leadership style that can be applied to an
organization?
 Directive style, because it is mostly focused on keeping their head in the
game and people needs guidance and control in the workplace.

1. Which is better? A good leader or a good manager? Why?


 Leader. The leader doesn't only manage, he/she also lead the team to
create teamwork.
2. How do you show a very ideal leader to your subordinates?
 Learn to appreciate cahnges, be open for your subordinate's feedback,
accept failures as a challenge to be better.
3. What are 3 best characteristics that a leader should have? And why?
 Flexible, Patient and Optimistic. Flexible, easy to adapt changes. Patient,
to accept minor delays and problems. Optimistic, always have a positive
mindset.
4. What do you think is the best leadership style that can be applied to an
organization?
 Participative leadership, willing to listen to others opinion, the way you
encourage other people/workmates/colleagues is to be a model to
them.

1. How do you handle conflict in the organization?


 Accept the conflictand learn from it. Create a formal grievance
procedure for all employees and give all parties to a conflict an equal
voice, regardless of their position, length of service or influence.
2. What are the common conflicts in the company?
 Differences on work style, because there are people who prefer to work
independently, while others prefer to work in teams.
3. Are there negotiations happening in the company? What are these?
 So far there isn't, because we exercise fairness in the company.
4. What do you mean by win-win approach to you?
 It is a resolution to a conflict that we will both benefit with the result.

1. How do you handle conflict in the organization?


 Conflict is inevitable in the workplace but you need to be patient, have
fucos to work. If you notice that there is someone gaining conflict
between you, better confront him/her and ask for feedback, so in that
way you'll find out what are your flaws that you need to change or
improve to avoid causing the conflict a block to your work and have a
healthy outcome in your workplace.
2. What are the common conflicts in the company?
 Misunderstanding and work style differences.
3. Are there negotiations happening in the company? What are these?
 Yes. Win-win negotiations.
4. What do you mean by win-win approach to you?
 It's like negotiations between you and your colleague with a mutual
plans to give solution to a problem that will satisfy you both.

1. How do you encourage teamwork?


 Always remain positive, because it will help inspire your team.
2. What is social loafing? Does this happen to your organization?
 Socail loafing happens when an individual exert less effort when working
as a group than when working independently. Yes.
3. As a manager, do you find it hard to work individually? Or as a team?
 I actually enjoy both. I can work both on a team and work alone,
depending on the work that needs to be done. I can work independently
to complete my tasks on time, but I also enjoy brainstorming with my
colleagues.
4. Do you have any sayings, qoutes, lines that you like about teamwork? Tell us
about it.
 "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Because for me,
we need to work towards success of the team as a whole.

 As a leader, you must not just be on the lead. You must be part of them,
work with your team, accomplish the goals together with your team
then be open for their opinions.

 Social loafing is a type of person who exert less effort when being in a
group. Yes.
3. As a manager, do you find it hard to work individually? Or as a team?
 It is hard to work alone or as an individual, you always need your team
to achieve certain goals and task because I believe "Teamwork is dream
work."
4. Do you have any sayings, qoutes, lines that you like about teamwork? Tell us
about it.
 "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."

1. How challenging is it to you when people/subordinates have different


personality and attitude?
 It is hard for me but as a manager we must understand each of our
subordinates. We may not be able to change their negative personality
or attitude but we can help them improve their positive side.
2. What can you say about your social environment in your company?
 I have a friendly and supportive social environment. And I'm happy with
my job.
3. How do you make individual values congruent to the organizational values?
 I familiarize myself with the organization's values so that I will be able to
show what's the best in me and to know if Iam compatible with my
work.
4. Which is more important to you? EQ over IQ or IQ over EQ? Why?
 EQ over IQ is more important for me. Because high EQ leads to healthy
relationship with others and has greater impact on success. High IQ can
get you a better job but lacking in EQ can get you fired.

1. How challenging is it to you when people/subordinates have different
personality and attitude?
 It is a big challenge especially in working with different working styles
and age gap. You must be flexible enough to have fucos on work and
encourage them to work with you.
2. What can you say about your social environment in your company?
 Our environment needs teamwork, because there are still
miscommunications that leads to misunderstanding in the organization.
3. How do you make individual values congruent to the organizational values?
 You should let your team understand by heart the organizational values
in order for them to work and be compatible on it.
4. Which is more important to you? EQ over IQ or IQ over EQ? Why?
 For me, EQ over IQ, because one of the characteristics of an individual
with a high EQ is being motivated and has high social skills.

RATIONALE

Organizational Behavior studies and observe the influence and impact that
individuals, groups, and organizational structure have on behavior within
organization for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an
organization’s effectiveness.

In the business world today, Organizational Behavior is an essential tool for


managing effective teams and it helps to understand and predict human behavior
in an organization. It studies on how organizations can be structures more
accurately, and how several events in their outside situations effect organizations.
It has become more significant today than in previous years because organizations
must master to adapt to the rapidly changing business cultures that have
stemmed from a competitive market.

In order to know how to handle a new workforce, and cope with the challenges of
the new environment, the employers need to deliver their message about
behavior and attitude of groups, and individuals in corporation. If employer can
understands on an employee’s adaptability, personality, and creativity, motivating
that employee the way he need to be motivated is never a gray area and a
guaranteed success.
