Quick Lightsaber Template

This is not an instructional tutorial like most of my patterns, It is really just a template to help you
along if you are trying to make your own prop lightsaber. I used things I had around the house, but
you might have different bits that work just as well!
When you print it, measure against the print guides to know the scale is correct. ** When printing,
make sure scale is set to ACTUAL SIZE** Because I make my patterns to work on both A4 and
U.S. letter paper, often Adobe Acrobat will try and shrink the pages a little bit.

Things I Used
• Pattern: At the end of this PDF. Align the crosses on the two pages and tape them
together.
• Golf club tube: I found these at a local big box hardware/sporting goods store. They cost
a couple dollars each.
• Scissors
• Metal shears
• 5mm thick EVA foam: for the flanges on the handle and the circle to close up the back.
• Knife
• Hot Glue Gun: I used a hot glue gun, it works in a pinch but I would probably recommend
some other glue like super glue or two part epoxy for long term.
• 1/2” PEX pipe : 10cm long
• 3/4” PEX pipe: 10cm long
• Aluminium tape
• A plastic tray: 1-2mm thick
• Metal coat hanger
• Metallic Paint: I used DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics “Silver.”

• Green Scotchbrite scouring pad
• Drywall anchor with the spring out wings
• Copper foil tape
