02. National Bank vide their letter no: NB.IDD.RRB/1276/3L6 (Compassionate


Appint')/2018-19 dated 09 January 2oIg has advised a model scheme
for
appointment on compassionate grounds for implementation in Regional
Rural Banks
with certain modifications.
03' The scheme has been approved by the Board of the Bank in its glst
meeting
held on L2.04.2019 and is effective irr the Bank from the date of
approval, i.e from
12th April 2019.

03' The dependent family member of the deceased employee will have both
the
options i.e., i) Compassionalle Appointment or ii) Payment of Lump sum
Ex-gratia in
lieu of compassionate appointment (Ref. cir.No PER&HRD
/3g/2006-07 dated
26'03'2007). However, any of these t,wo options are available only
when the other
conditions of compassionater appointment are met. That is, if the dependent
family
member is not eligible for compassionate appointment under any circumstances,
he/she is also not eligible to draw Ex-gratia
04' The scheme of Appoinllment on Compassionate grounds is not applicable
in
case of death/retirement on medical grounds after 55 years
of age.
05. The Scheme as approvr:d by the Board of the Bank is furnished herewith
as
Annexure-1 for information of all the concerned, please bring the contents
of this
circular to the notice of all thre staff working at your Branch/office.
