challenging, if not impossible, to deploy additional
hardware, in particular, antennas

▪▪Kathrein is introducing this innovative antenna system

aimed at overcoming these issues, while ensuring the
delivery of next generation mobile services

▪▪This new, high-performance antenna system seamlessly

integrates a multi-band passive antenna and a massive
MIMO active antenna into a single unit

Optimising the Footprint

Minimising site negotiations is a target to make massive MIMO
deployment a reality in Europe. Technical solutions need to
be developed for urban areas, where one antenna per sector
is predominant.

▪ mMIMO installation kit (MIK)
▪ mMIMO adaptive antenna
▪ 3 installation options
▪ Compatible with all Kathrein 448 platform antennas,
e.g. 16-Port 2 m (800442001), 10-Port 2 m (800442003)
▪ Designed to carry massive MIMO radios
