NATIONAL CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

CHARACTER

Section 1 CLUB SZ-R PH INC. is a motorcycle club/group exclusively for Yamaha SZ-R users/owners that
shares a passion for motorcycles that unite us in a brotherhood with Democratic ideals.

Section 2 This Club is Not for Profit, apolitical association and shall not take active participation in
political campaigns, have no affiliation with any political parties or any activities that may cause a
negative effect on the reputation of the Club.

MISSION

Section 1 The Club was created to organize recreational activities for it’s Members, such as rides/tours,
campouts and a host of other social activities that benefit the members.

Section 2 Club SZ-R Ph must provide safety education for the membership and the public that promotes
the safe and legal use of motorcycles.

Section 3 Although Club SZ-R Ph is not a charity and our mission is motorcycling, as an integral part of
our respective communities, our Club is expected to organize some charitable events on behalf of less
fortunate. This can be achieved through toy drives, food drives, blood drives, fund drives and a host of
other activities. This is a MOTORCYCLE CLUB other social and civic activities conducted by the Club is just
secondary.

MEMBERSHIP

Section 1 Membership is open to all Yamaha SZ-R motorcycle owners/users who possess a valid driver’s
license and who complied with the necessary requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Section 1 The Club Membership is open to the public at large provided they fulfill the requirements and
any person desiring membership to the Club shall make application upon a form to be furnished by the
Officers in charge.

Section 2 You must be sponsored by a member who is willing to be your mentor and who must sign the
application along with the Sector Coordinator.
Section 3 You must own a legally registered Yamaha SZ-R motorcycle or the legal spouse of the Owner of
a Yamaha SZ-R motorcycle.

Section 4 You must have a current driver’s license and a current motorcycle registration.

Section 5 You agree to attend at least one monthly meeting per month, take active participation in Club
SZ-R Ph sponsored events and attend at least 3 tambay on behalf of the Sector, and also to attend 1
official ride or 2 sectoral rides.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Section 1 Official Members who sold their Yamaha SZ-R Motorcycle and in turn bought a different
brand/model of motorcycle shall be considered an associate member unless waived.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIPSection 1 Honorary membership may be extended to select individuals, such


as public officials, law enforcement officials, presidents of organizations etc, who have gone above and
beyond the call of duty on behalf of Club SZ-R Ph. The sector head shall notify the National Officers to
receive approval to extend an honorary membership to the selected individual. The National Chairman
will look unto the application over to award final approval.

Section 2 Honorary membership is permanent. Honorary members shall have no requirements placed
upon them by the Club or its Sectors. Honorary members are expected to conduct themselves in an
honorable manner and can have their membership terminated for bad conduct.

Section 3 Honorary memberships will be reviewed by the Executive Board on an annual basis for
updating of personal data.

RULES OF CONDUCT

Section 1 Absolutely no fighting is tolerated among the members. This is considered a very serious
offense and cause for termination of membership.

Section 2 Members cannot be involved in any illegal activities including theft, drug use, drug sales, sale
of stolen goods, prostitution, gambling, etc nor will these activities be tolerated in the Club or during any
Club sponsored events. Proof thereof will be cause for automatic termination.

Section 3 All women are to be treated with respect and as our equal. Women are to be accepted as full
members and accorded the same privileges as men and the criteria for women's membership must be
the same as for men.

Section 4 Absolutely no hot-rodding, burnouts, wheelies, or any reckless driving which is deemed unsafe
and/or illegal, at events or runs, will be tolerated. All local traffic laws will be obeyed.

Section 5 A member deemed too intoxicated to operate his vehicle in a safe manner will have his/her
keys taken away from them by the highest ranking officer on site, forcibly if necessary.

Section 6 If there’s a conflict between family and one’s clublife, family must be given priority.
Section 7 Be courteous to all visitors and guests; and make them feel welcome. Never bad mouth or
discuss internal club problems in front of visitors. Save all your comments for the meetings.

Section 8 Never under any circumstance make fun of, curse, belittle, humiliate or disrespect another
member, spouse or their company.

Section 9 Leave as a group and return as a group on every event participated in. Never will a brother or
sister be left behind whose bike breaks down or acquires problems along the way.

Section 10 In the event a member has to drive a vehicle. They will do their best to stay behind the pack
and serve as an additional emergency vehicle to the group.

Section 11 All official members will do their best to guide prospective members/aspirants in a positive
way.

Section 12 Never use discriminatory jokes and respect everyone regardless of nationality, race, creed,
color, religion, gender, age, or social status.

Section 13 All members will respect the Club Officers.

Section 14 Treat all associate members like official members and as brothers and sisters.

Section 15 All other undesirable conduct by members will be reported by the officer present to the
National Officers and dealt with accordingly.

Section 16 Officers must be official members. Spouses of members cannot hold office. In the case of a
husband and a wife who are both official members. Only one can hold office.

Section 17 A member who has been disabled in an accident or for any unfortunate reason will be
awarded a “Disability Membership” even though he may not be able to ride a motorcycle. He will be
awarded the same privileges and rights of an official member.

Section 18 No Sector and/or Sub Sectors should make a Logo, Tarpaulins, Banners and the likes bearing
the Club SZR-PH S.E.C. Registration Number. ONLY the Club SZR-PH Official Logo should bear the Club's
S.E.C. Number.

Section 19 Any member who personally and publicly sign-off implies his/her inactive status as member
of the club and will be automatically kicked-off or removed from the official page. If a member quits it
means he/she is no longer connected to the club.

Section 20 The rules of the club will be strictly enforced. If anyone breaks them, executive board will
deal them with. If these rules and regulations are broken, it could mean either immediate dismissal or
suspension, whatever the executive board sees fit.

Section 21 No member will go against anything the club has voted for and passed.

Section 22 Absolutely no talking about Club business to persons outside the Club.
Section 23 All members are held to their own individual accountability.

Section 24 The willful disregard for safety which renders a hazardous condition upon other members will
be deemed a serious violation and will be dealt in accordingly.

RUNS AND TOURING

Section 1 When participating on runs or rides, members should be on time. All members should be given
a 30 minute grace period.

Section 2 All members should strive to leave together and return together on all activities.

Section 3 All driving should be done in “staggered formation" with the highest ranking officer in front or
any other driver designated by the highest ranking officer.

Section 4 Members will ride in formation. Overtaking will not be tolerated when riding except for
designated ride marshalls.

Section 5 All members participating in a run or ride should have a full tank of gas before arriving at the
starting point.

Section 6 All local traffic laws will be followed and respected.

Section 7 Know all hand signals so we can safely communicate when riding and make sure you telegraph
them to riders behind you.

Section 8 Rest stops will be determined by the highest ranking officer present or a road captain. Runs or
rides should not go any further than the distance necessary to refill the gastank on the trip. The highest
ranking officer will decide the length of time of the rest stop.

Section 9 Road captains and other members should be certified in first aid and CPR and carry a trauma
kit in case of an emergency.

Section 10 When inclement weather is evident, the road captain or highest ranking officer will
determine a safe pull-off location to put on rain gear.

SECTORSHIP

Section 1 When a group is granted sanction to start a Sector in their respective area they are called an
“Organizing Sector”. Sanction to start a Sector can only be granted by the Executive Board. An organizing
sector has to fully comply with the by-laws and sectoral hierarchy.

Section 2 An Organizing Sector is under the direct supervision of the Executive Board until they are
granted sectoral status. After being granted sectoral status the sector will be under the supervision of
their respective Sectoral head coordinator.
Section 3 An organizing sector can be granted official status after a period of no less than 12-18 months.
The following requirements must be met:

A. Must have no less than 20 official members with OIN.

B. Must be nominated by Sectoral head coordinator before the Executive Board by mail, in person or
otherwise.

C. A sector is expected to prioritize participation and support the Club activities and functions of other
sectors.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

Section 1 The EXECUTIVE BOARD is composed of the elected National Officer consisting of the following;
A) Chairman

B) 4 Directors

C) Treasurer

D) Auditor

E) Secretary

Section 2 The Executive Board handles all sectors and enforces the club by-laws, rules and regulations.

Section 3 The Executive Board will work closely with all Sectors to ensure the by-laws, rules and
regulations are being followed to ensure all of the sectors are operating as ONE Club.

Section 4 Funds raised by the Executive Board will in part be used for club purposes. These funds will
also be used to organize an Annual National Club Events.

Section 6 Executive Board will conduct national treasury report quarterly and the presentation of
summarized assessments of the overall club situation to the membership.

Section 7 The executive board is responsible for the monitoring of conflicts within the club and the
application of disciplinary procedures.
CHAIN OF COMMAND

Section 1 All members shall respect the chain of command.

Section 2 The chain of command is as follows:

A) Chairman

B) 4 Directors

C) Secretary

D) Treasurer

E) Auditor

F) head coordinator

G) coordinator

Section 3 When a member has a question or dispute, they shall utilize the chain of command. There are
times when the dispute may involve officers next in line in his chain of command. That member should
go over them and then appeal to officers of higher rank.

Section 4 In case of urgency, the Chairman shall notify the Executive Board and address the question or
issue. The answer received from the Executive Board shall be final and is not open to further
investigation or discussion.
