Ph.D. Thesis: Diagnostics and epidemiology of Phytophthora infestans, the cause of late
blight of potato.
M.S. Thesis: Effect of soil water pressures on population dynamics of Fusarium equiseti,
Gliocladium virens, Talaromyces flavus and Trichoderma viridae,
biocontrol agents of Verticillium dahliae in potatoes.
Research Activities: Recently completed a project titled 'Pathogens associated with pea
root rot in the NWFP and screening of pea germplasm against the
disease' funded by Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2006.
2.Presented a paper titled 'Barley yellow dwarf virus-an emerging wheat problem-its
prevalence and field host resistance in NWFP, Pakistan' at international symposium
on characterization and management of emerging viral diseases in the developing
world held in Faisalabad, Pakistan in September, 2006.
6.Presented a paper titled 'Survey for disease scouting of tomato in the NWFP at a
symposium on 'Technologies developed for commercialization challenges and
opportunities' held in Peshawar, Pakistan from September 2 22, 2003.
