Pedagogical Approach Constructivism


1. Physical fitness -is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the
ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical
PE Vocabulary Enhancement fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical
exercise, and sufficient rest.
2. Officiating- act as an official in charge of something, as a sporting event.

The teacher will ask the students to make a concept map about the word
Officiating. Don’t limit the answers of the students.
The teacher will write the answers of the students on the board.
After giving all answers, the teacher will let every student to explain their own
answers.

The teacher will ask the following questions:


1. Why do we officiate?
B. Analysis 2. How relevance is officiating to our fitness and well-being?
3. What are the benefits of officiating to our health and community?

The teacher will let the students read, understand and analyze the articles on the rewards
and satisfaction of officiating.
C. Abstraction
(Reference: Learners Materials in Physical Education pages 32-35)

ACTIVITY 5: FUEL IT UP!


Objective:
 Prepare a balanced meal for a sports official based on his/her nutritional
requirements

Materials:
 Paper plate or improvised paper plate
 Cut out pictures of food and drinks
 Paste/glue
 Scissors
 Pencil and coloring materials

Procedures:
D. Application 1. Choose a sport that you want to officiate.
2. Review the nutritional requirements and fitness components needed by the official
in the chosen sport.
3. Consider yourself an official of the chosen sport, paste/draw on your paper plate
the food and drinks you plan to take regularly.
4. Make your work presentable and be guided with the following Rubrics:

Time and Effort 5 points

Accuracy and ability to defend work 5 points

Total 15 points

The teacher will give a five-item formative test.
