And indeed, travelling has now become an important part of modern life. Whether for business,
getting together with family and friends or just a time breathe and find ourselves. Famous cities
and destinations has been crowded with tourist, but not for long. According to Trekksoft reports
about travel trends shows tourists are looking to visit new, uncharted destinations and have
new experiences. In fact in our own survey 15 out of 20 chose unfamiliar destinations than
follow the usual trail of mainstream destinations.

However finding new destinations is not easy, current travel applications, such as Klook and
Voyagin, are usually limited with famous and usual destinations. In the Philippines famous
destinations such as Cebu, Boracay and Palawan are the places that travel applications offer to
its users when searching a place to travel in the country. You’d often get zero results, except for
Boracay, when searching for travel destinations here in Panay. Out of 20 people that we ask 50%
said that they are having trouble in finding their travel destination especially when they are not
familiar with the place. That is why people often look through social media post, internet, rely
on word of mouth and asks locals when looking for destinations here in Panay, which can be
time consuming and very inconvenient, especially when the information given is incomplete.

We introduce TARRA, a mobile application that maps and displays all the travel destinations in
Panay. TARRA gives more focus on new and unfamiliar destinations in Panay. It provide users
with travel destinations with corresponding information such as price or entrance fee, location,
services of offered, description of the place and review of other visitors. It can accept booking in
resorts and destinations with entrance fee. It can also provide transportation to your
destination.

This application is designed for tourist, travelers and as well as locals to help them discover
more of Panay and the Panayanon culture without the hassle of going through different sites
and as well as it aims to help local tourism for the benefit or tourist spot or travel destination
owners or caretakers.
