DRIVER SAFETY MONITORING SYSTEM USING IOT

1. INTRODUCTION

Automation and advancement in the system are implemented everywhere leading to smart
cities. The facilities provided with vehicles like self-start, auto gear, battery chargers, remote
controls, etc are commonly provided. Everybody uses their own vehicle for transportation and
hence the automobile industry is flourishing. Thus, the driver safety concept is new for
monitoring the driver's safety and condition, which is crucial in preventing accidents.

In this focus this paper presents a novel, " Driver Safety Monitoring System Using IOT"
which uses a vibration sensor, gas sensor, transformer, Arduino, and buzzer. When the value
on the sensor crosses the mark, then the sensors send a warning message to the necessary
people. Web application has been developed to store the details of the driver. The data is sensed
by the sensors and then sent to the central monitoring system to take necessary actions.

2. LITERATURE REVIEW

In the year 2004, Kai-Tai Melody, Chih-Hao Chen and Cheng-Hsien Chiu Huang proposed
"Ultrasonic Sensor Framework For Horizontal Impact Shirking At Low Speeds".(1) In this
investigation, we plan and actualize an ultrasonic sensor framework for the horizontal crash
shirking of vehicles at low speeds. The created sensor framework is helpful for distinguishing
vehicles, cruisers, bikes, and people on foot that go by the sidelong side of a vehicle. The
framework can be adjusted to upgrade the back-view reflections of present vehicles, which
have vulnerable sides on the horizontal sides. Ultrasonic sensors, which have been broadly
utilized on vehicles for back item location amid leaving, are created for sidelong article
recognition at low speeds. Itemized test ponders are displayed in this paper. Trial results
demonstrate that the proposed framework can identify a vehicle at velocities up to 40km/hr
with a most extreme scope of 6 meters. Additionally, the impact of wind on the estimation is
likewise researched. The created sensor framework gives palatable outcomes for the wrap to
accelerate to 35km/hr.

In the year 1993, Tadamasa FUKAE, Norihiro TAMIYA, and Hiroyasu MANDAI distributed
"Sidelong separation estimation utilizing optical spread range radar"(2). Lateral remove
estimation framework for AVCS (Propelled Vehicle Control Frameworks) has been created in
different nations. This paper depicts a sidelong separation estimation framework utilizing
Spread Range (SS) method. This strategy does not require a noteworthy foundation venture
since it depends on the reflected flag from the guardrails right now introduced on numerous
streets. The range goals of SS radar is commonly equivalent to the length of one chip since it
depends on the relationship utilizing chip synchronization. They proposed a short-run
estimation framework using the slant of the relationship capacity of m-grouping as use of the
SS method and demonstrate the consequences of the analysis.

In the year 2000, 0. Manolov, Sv. Noikov, P. Buffalo, G. Trainito distributed "Indoor versatile
robot control for condition data gathering"(3). Data of condition has considerable significance
for versatile robot route. Sensors are vital wellsprings of data on worldwide natural conditions.
Ultrasonic sensors are known as hearty and modest separation sensors appropriate, for this
application. In the introduced paper a utilization of a portable smaller scale robot utilizing an
ultrasonic range discoverer for neighborhood map building is depicted. The information
gathered by range. discoverer - from any fixed point are restricted by the physical properties of
ultrasound waves. Just those pieces of stakes are distinguished for which the effect wave
bearing seems to right edges. Along these lines, the sensor information from various positions
must be joined to acquire a total portrayal of nature. In this paper, a calculation of hp fulfillment
is introduced. Exploratory outcomes are displayed as well.

In the year 2000, Zou Yi, Ho Yeong Khing, Chua Jawline Seng, and Zhou Xiao Wei distributed
"Multi-Ultrasonic Sensor Combination for Versatile Robots" (4). To get familiar with the earth
utilizing multi-tangible data, we need both a precise sensor shows and a sensible sensor
combination procedure. Ultrasonic sensors give a great range of data. Be that as it may,
vulnerabilities in ultrasonic sensors brought about by the specular reflection from conditions
make them less alluring. We have utilized the DempsterShafer proof technique in sensor
combined with the uniquely planned sensor show. By applying a sifting variable to the sensor
display, vulnerabilities in sonar reactions can be effectively diminished. In this paper, we
present a novel method for utilizing the contention esteem in Dempster-Shafer proof hypothesis
in the sensor display. Through this new strategy, our robot would almost certainly adjust its
sensor display powerfully amid its route. Test results have demonstrated that the new technique
has improved the execution of the changed ultrasonic sensor display in managing specular
reflections.
In the year 2001, Andrew Hale and Lindsay Kleeman proposed "Quick Target Grouping
utilizing SONAR"(5). This paper depicts another sonar framework that can perform target
restriction in two measurements and grouping into planes, sunken comers and raised edges
with no additional time overhead. That is, the sensor transmits on two transmitters brief time
separated, along these lines gathering echoes in for all intents and purposes a similar time as a
solitary transmitter framework. In addition, the time division of the transmitted heartbeats acts
to distinguish JL the specific sonar framework so impedance from different frameworks can be
rejected. The sensor joins two past sonar inquire about endeavors on twofold heartbeat coding
and characterization in a constant DSP based detecting module that is additionally littler than
past sensors. Since the arrangement is performed with such a short postponement between
transmitter firings, the sensor could be conveyed on moving stages to accomplish on-the-fly
mapping. This paper depicts the sonar equipment, the Most extreme Probability Estimation
(MLE) order approach and trial results.

In the year 2016, Nagarjuna Nuthalapati, Venkata SreeKrishna Koganti, and Lavanya K. Galla
proposed "Unwavering quality Of Caution Light Gadget Applications"(6). To expand the
wellbeing of the travellers, the cutting-edge transport framework is changing into a Savvy
Transport Framework, embracing a few segments like Street Side Units (RSU) and Cautioning
Light Gadgets (WLD). The On-board unit in the vehicle will transmit Essential Security
Messages (BSM) occasionally to different vehicles and RSUs to counteract impacts and
improve traffic stream. WLDs are inserted into a street to alarm a speeding vehicle by speaking
with RSUs. Out of a few accessible short-run correspondence convention alternatives, it is vital
to pick the most proficient and solid one among WLDs and RSUs as they perform basic tasks.
In this paper, the dependability of short-run correspondence conventions, for example,
Bluetooth, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, and DSRC are investigated as for the Astute Transport Framework
(ITS) foundation. Thusly, the unwavering quality of the picked convention topologies is
assessed in this paper.

8. CONCLUSION

The road accidents in metropolitan areas as well as in countryside areas have increased to an
uncertain level due to developments. The system can also be implemented for the rescue of the
accident victims. Many issues like the arrival of the ambulance, the investigations made by the
police department and operating the victim by the hospitals can be minimized by implementing
the proposed system in every vehicle, including two wheelers and three wheelers. However, by
building intelligence mechanisms on the top of the hardware, taking advantage of possible
existing sensors and the existence of a network of embedded units, one can both optimally
manage available resources at the unit and network levels as well as provide augmented
functionalities, well beyond those available.

The advantages of the system are that the owner can monitor car status at any time and provide
intimation through the buzzer.
