Show Choir Activity
1. Show Choir is defined as a group of people who combine choral singing with dance movements, sometimes within the context of a specific idea or story. 2. Each group shall select two songs that were originally composed during the Post-Martial Law Period (1981-1999). 3. The members of the show choir should demonstrate the ability to sing their chosen music. 4. The members of the show choir should demonstrate the ability to add movement or choreography to their performance that compliments the music. 5. Use of props is highly encouraged to develop the visual aspect of the performance. 6. The group can use musical hand props (eg. harmonica, tambourine, and etc) to complement the voices. Instruments that use amplifiers (eg. guitars, keyboards, etc) and drum sets are allowed. 7. Lyrics should be wholesome and not sexually suggestive or vulgar. The song can be in the form of fast-paced or slow- paced pieces. 8. Costumes are highly encouraged to add up to the performance however, the teacher deserves the right not to allow the performance of a group due to costume technicalities.
DURING THE ACTIVITY:
1. The song rendition should not exceed ten minutes. There will be a one-minute grace period for entrance and another minute for the exit. 2. Students are encouraged to avoid shouting during the performance of their classmates. Deduction of points shall be given to the performing group. 3.
