We were facing the problem of Re-

entering of the dust due to filter bags
cleaning sequence & increase in DP due
to falling of pulse pipes in HR bag
house.
Idea:
1.Filter bags cleaning sequence was
modified in such way that during cleaning
period, dust will not re enter on adjacent
bags i.e. (Staggered cleaning).
2. Providing a stiffener to the back portion of

pulse pipe holding arrangement for
strengthen the pipe support, so that pulse
pipe should not fall while operation.

Introduction:
• Cylinder removed due to oil leakage
• Dismantled the cylinder & observed wear in
piston rod at seal seating area.
• If we replace the seal in as it condition, due
to wear & uneven surface of piston rod, new
seals will damage fastly and seals life will be
not as per expected.
• To avoid this, piston rod needs machining &
re-chroming to get the good surface finish.
(Jobs to be done with external agency)
Idea:
•We planned to reverse the piston rod so that
life can be extended.
•New seal seating area will be available at
working area.
•For this we removed top & bottom cover,
reversed the piston rod.
•Cylinder re-assembled with new seals.

commerce and industry on 21st May 2016 at Bishkek Kyrgyzstan.
On June 16th 2016 Our Company got Green-Co Platinum Rating Award given

Our Mines got 5 star rating .

Mines Safety Week was celebrated from 16th Nov to 21st nov 2015. All
large mechanised mines of Karnataka participated. Final day function was
celebrated on 22nd at Kalburgi Cement Chatrasala Gulbarga

45th National Safety Day Celebration and some of them are short listed under KRISD
(Kalaburgi Region Industrial Safety Day ) level safety day celebration on 29th March
2016(Tuesday) at M/s ACC Cement Works, Wadi at 06:00PM

“Excellent Energy Efficient unit 2016" and our CPP is rated and awarded as "Energy Efficient Power Plant"
Trophy and certicicate is being given by CII President designate Mrs Kamnani, Vice Chairperson Apollo
Hospital, Chairman Den Foss , Vice Chair Person Thermax, and President CII south were among
Dignitaries giving Awards at Hyderabad
National level competition for Excellence in Water Management 2016 organised by

Confederation of Indian Industry. our Company has been identified as `Noteworthy Water
Efficient Unit in “Within the Fence “ Category and Certificate given in Award ceremony
held on 27th September 2016 at Hotel Le-meridien, New Delhi. Ours is the only cement
Unit got this Certificate.
The Award was given by Sri. Anil Kakodkar , Scientist in Bhabha Atomic Research (Second
Person in India who is awardee of Bharat Ratna, Padmabhushan and Padmavibhushan)
Devesh Mishra, Vice President (Mechanical) and Mr.Uday M, DGM-PQC received the
Certificate on behalf of the company.
Federation of Indian mineral Industries have selected for Abheraj Baldota

Environment Award (FIMI Environment Award for the year 2015-16) for our
Injepally mines. During desk top assessment, four Mines were short listed for this
award, out of which our Mines got winner award at all India level in the category
of large mechanised open cast mines. Award function will be in the month of
October at Delhi and shield will be given by some Union Minister. In the year
2012 we received similar award.
QUALITY CIRCLE FORUM OF INDIA HYDERABAD CHAPTER In

Collaboration With CMA & NCCBM Presented this Award to
VASAVADATTA CEMENT –SEDAM For Their Contribution To Best
Practices In “CEMENT INDUSTRY’’ National Cement Conclave 21st
Oct 2016 At HICC Hyderabad.
Felicitation function at Bangalore organized by ministry of mines. Mr. Balbinder

Singh, mines secretary, & Mr. Subhash Chandra joint secretary, ministry of
mines, Mr. R. K. Sinha, controller general , southern zone Indian bureau of
mines, and other officials were present. All the mines in Karnataka, goa and
Tamil Nadu having 4 star and 5 star rating were felicitated. .

KRISC Function under the aegis of Deputy Director of Factories Kalaburagi

Region was held on 25th March 2017 at Ultratech Cement-Malkhed. VC won
various prizes in various competition.
