1. Support the achievement of HSE targets within their sites or locations.

2. Conduct/ arrange all HSE training required to educate employees regarding hazards and preventive measures
relevant to our operations.
3. Ensure implementation of group standards.
4. Meet statutory compliance pertaining to environmental matters as per various legislations concerned and as
prescribed by pollution control board with respect to water, air, noise and waste disposal. Implement effective waste
disposal procedures for Sanaswadi works.
5. Ensure compliance of all requirements prescribed under the legislation concerned as per Chapter III, IV & IV-A of
the The Factories Act, 1948 and Chapter III & IV of the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963.
6. Advise 3P suppliers on compliance of statutory requirements in respect of storage of hazardous chemicals & other
related matters.
7. Educate 3P suppliers, transporters and processors regarding safe handling and usage of RMs/ FGs wherever
applicable.
8. Ensure availability and upkeep of appropriate fire fighting facility. Arrange the Security Personnel and select people
in fire prevention, IMS Work, Health Medical Room.
9. Audit regularly the site/s against local and group standards/ policies and ensure quality and compliance.
10. Continuously assess possible risks and hazards and suggest measures to forestall any event of accident/
incident.
11. Contribute to any new facility or process in risk analysis, layout and change management.
12. Implement and ensure Work Permit System.
13. Lead and manage safety improvement initiatives such as safety net, behavioural safety sampling, Turbo.S,
Safety Breakthrough, culture journey.
14. To assist Head Supply Chain in implementing all major HSE projects.
Required Candidate profile
Individual contributor role.

Ability to manage multiple location plants.

Should have working knowledge of all statutory requirements and should possess basic knowledge of handling
hazardous chemicals and manufacturing process. Should have knowledge about ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Minimum of 8 years experience in a Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Engineering Industry.

Should be Diploma in Industrial Safety. NEBOSH certification preferred.

He/ she should be a firm and assertive person with zero compromise on safety. The person should be able to work
and influence all others irrespective of the levels in the organisation to achieve HSE targets and sustain HSE culture.
Communication skills coupled with presentation skills have to be good. Should have good skills of risk analysis and
creative solutions.

As this position has a crucial role to play in terms of HSE performance and HSE continuous improvement and is
related to dealing with all employees across functions and locations, the role has lot of complexities.
