' Garcia said bus operators have given
their coriunitmenr to comply with the dry
bus run of the bus baq following a meetitrg
with officials of the Land TransportatioD
Franchising and Regulatory Board.
"All ofthem will participate even withouf
thefull enforcement ofthe ban." he said.
He said the dry run. which will give buses
window hours from l0 p.m. to 4 a.m. to ply
aloog EDSA. will allow the govemmefi to
ideDtit' loopholes in its implemeotation.
Du.ing the window hours, provincial
buses can only load and unload passengers
on common terminals along EDSA.
'"There will be no penalties during the
dry run," Garcia added.
As this dweloped, a lawmaker has asked
tle Supreme Court to act swiftly on his
motion to issue a temporary rcshaining oder
,ginst the bus ban da)'s ahead ofthe dry run.

Partylist Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. said in a
television irterview.
"The bus ban will really affect 95 percent
ofour population wbo are poor and have no
other cheap altemative to taking the bus,"
he added
Garbin filed the urgent motion before the
High Court on Tiresday.

The LTFRB earlier amended the
certificate of public convenience of all
provincial buses with terminals aloDg
EDSA within the Narional Capital Region.
Under Memorandum Circular 2019-
031, all provincial buses from the north,
whose terminals are located on Eds4 shall
temporarily siop at the Valenzueld City
