Organizational Structure:
The formal structure of AFST PARK is the arrangement of tasks and people. This structure
determines how information flows within the organization, which departments are
responsible for which activities, and where the decision-making power rests.

The organizational structure of ASFT PARK control systems,

culture, and human resource management systems that together determine how efficiently
and effectively organizational resources are used. Basically, it’s a formal system of task and
reporting relationships showing how our workers use resources. Overall we follow
Traditional Approach whereas within department we follow MBO.

Our structure is based on a design consisting of six key elements which are:

1. Work specialization
2. Departmentalization
3. Chain of commands
4. Span of control
5. Centralization and Decentralization
6. Formalizati
Factors affecting the organizational structure;

1) Work Specialization:
ASFT PARK encourages the system of dividing tasks into separate jobs with each step
completed by a different person. This reduces the work load and excess of multitasking and
enables the employees to focus towards a unified goal.

We believe that overspecialization can result in boredom, fatigue, poor quality, increased
absenteeism, and higher turnover. And as our PARK organization is totally based on
creativity so we need different employees . Every individual in our organization is handed
over with the task he/she has an edge of!!

2) Departmentalization:
It is termed as, the basis by which jobs are grouped together. Pattern ASFT
PARKdepartmentalization is explained as follow;

 Functional:
Grouping jobs by functions performed. Our organization has grouped together the
employees who are to perform their tasks according to the functions they are
allocated with. It puts together Efficiencies.
 Process:

ASFT PARK basically follows, grouping of jobs on the basis products or customer
flow. Our organization used process departmentalization for processing customers as
well as products. We believe that if the process for end result is carried out effective
and efficiently, it definitely results in a quality product.

 Product:
Grouping jobs by product line, divided each major product area under the authority
of a manager for everything regarding that product. As the step of processing hold
primary basis for a successful product. So it comparatively reduces the importance of
product departmentalization.

 Customer:
Grouping jobs by type of customer needs. ASFT PARK full concentration is on the
demands of customers’ needs. It is our first priority to meet our customers’ demands
and expectations which is also one of our organization’s objectives.
So ASFT PARK follows process and customer oriented departmentalization, which is also
currently popular in the market.

3) Chain of command:
The continuous line of authority that extends from upper Levels of an organization to the
lowest levels. It clarifies who a report to whom. Our organization follows the line of authority
going down from upper to the lower level.

 Authority
The rights inherent in a managerial posit ion to tell people what to do and to expect
them to do it. Our Managers have divided their sub ordinates in groups. They are to
monitor their work activity and accomplish organizational goals.
 Responsibility
The obligation or expectation to perform. We want our sub ordinates to fairly report
to our managers as they are accountable to them. The managers have to report the
top management of the organization about all success and failures in work activities.
The first line management controls the working staff of ASFT PARK ; by utilizing
management by functions approach they lead and motivate the employees to nurture
sense of responsibility, so that organization’s outcome is up to the expected
standards.
 Unity of command
A person should have one boss and should report only to that person is termed as
unity of command. ASFT PARK first line mangers consist of a cross functional team
representing every department, who are answerable to middle level management
where there is a unity of command. The members of cross functional team act as the
head of employees in their respective departments. They manage the matters within
their respective departments, and perform the task of managers as well. So they act as
multitasked.
4) Span of control:
The number of employees the ASFT PARK by means of its managers can efficiently and
effectively manage defines the span of control. As our organization is newly created, its
employees are not very much bonded with the organization. Although narrow span of control
would be effective, but we use a wider span of control system. Wider span of control reduces
the cost spending and the complexity as the managerial levels are low. The department
makes sure that the bonding of employees with the organization is strong, deep and effective.

5) Centralization/ Decentralization:

ASFT PARK is an organization, as the opinions of every employee are taken under
consideration and every individual has the right to share beneficial ideas. As our
organization is highly dependent on the current trends and customer needs, so highly
centralized structure would not be suitable. As this Environment is stable and the employees
are not involved in decision making, so it is not suitable for our organizational structure. Our
First-level managers would be capable and experienced at making decisions and voice in
decisions though decisions are relatively minor. Effective implementation of company
strategies depends on managers having involvement and flexibility to make decisions.
Employee Empowerment

Our department heads the Employee empowerment, which is a strategy and philosophy that
enables employees to make decisions about their jobs. ASFT PARK ’ decentralized structure
promotes Employees empowerment that help employees own their work and take
responsibility for their results. It helps in increasing the decision-making. This confidence on
the employees creates a level of trust and good employee organization relations. These
employees are a real and a true asset ASFT PARK holds.

6) Formalization:
The degree to which jobs within organizations are standardized and the extent to which
employees’ behavior are guided by rules and procedures is termed as formalization. ASFT
PARK is an organic organization having a low formalized organization attaining all of its
attributes. It has cross-Hierarchical Teams in the organization and the departments. The flow
of information is free in nature as there is a decentralized and a wider span of control
system.
