SIP responses:

A SIP response is a message generated by a user agent server (UAS) or SIP server to
reply a request generated by a client.

SIP 200 OK: indicating that a request has been accepted:

 200 OK is used to accept a session invitation.

 It indicates a successful receipt of a request.

Originating & Terminating

the S-CSCF (Serving CSCF) is a SIP proxy that serves as a registrar and handles originating
and terminating session states for users allocated to it. This means that any call that is
originated by a specific user or any call that is terminated to that specific user will pass
through the S-CSCF that is allocated to that user.

The user profile contains the list of actions to be taken by the S-CSCF for the served user
depending on the session direction (originating or terminating) and the user state
(registered or not) in the IMS network.

defines the originating and terminating session cases for a registered or unregistered user.

SIP Termination - service that allows you to make outgoing calls

voice calls to external phone networks all over the world, including public switched
telephone network phone numbers, as well as mobile cellular operators.
Unlike SIP termination, which means outbound calling, SIP origination (or inbound calling) is a
service that allows users to receive incoming calls to VoIP device.

SIP Origination - service that lets you receive incoming calls

SIP Originating

Any SIP user agent that can act as an originator or recipient of calls

conveys information about the originator of a call.

Originating Proxy (OP)

When the originating QoS enabled proxy (OP) receives an INVITE (or
other) message from the UAC, the proxy authenticates the caller, and
verifies that the caller..

Destination Proxy (DP)

The Destination QoS Enabled Proxy (DP) verifies that the called party
is authorized

MGCs are frequently used to bridge SIP and ISUP networks so

that calls originating in the PSTN can reach IP telephone endpoints
and vice versa. This is useful for cases in which PSTN calls need to
take advantage of services in IP world, in which IP networks are used
as transit networks for PSTN-PSTN calls, architectures in which calls
originate on desktop 'softphones' but terminate at PSTN terminals,
and many other similar next-generation telephone architectures.

Originator
The function of the originating user agent client is to generate the
SIP Call setup requests (i.e., INVITEs).

// comment
When a call originates in
the PSTN, a gateway is the UAC; otherwise some native SIP endpoint is
the UAC. In either case, note that the originator generally cannot
anticipate what sort of entity the terminator will be, i.e., whether
final destination of the request is in a SIP network or the PSTN.
//

The terminator
The terminator
generates the ISUP appropriate for signaling to the PSTN from the
incoming SIP message.

The User-Agent header field contains information about the UAC originating the

User-to-User authentication When a UAS receives a request from a UAC, the UAS MAY

When the originating UAC receives the 401 (Unauthorized), it SHOULD,
if it is able, re-originate the request with the proper credentials.
The UAC may require input from the originating user before proceeding
