BOLSHOI BALLET COMES TO CAPE MAY

Beach Theatre Foundation announces Bolshoi and
La Scala Ballet performances for August.

CAPE MAY, NJ, July 28, 2008 - The Beach Theatre Foundation announced today that
it will be presenting ballet performances in breathtaking HD digital projection & 5.1
sound at the historic Beach Theatre in Cape May.

The three ballet performances will be on 3 consecutive Thursdays in August. The first
two performances come from the world famous Russian ballet company from the
Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. The final performance comes from Teatro alla Scala, the
Milan theatre that is admired for their opera productions.

On Thursday, August 14th, the Bolshoi production is “Bolt”. Shostakovichʼs second

ballet brings together serious and popular music. First performed in 1931, the ballet had
been forbidden to be performed for over 30 years. The Moscow Times calls it, “...one of
the theatrical events that can cause even the most jaded viewer to stand up and cheer.”

On Thursday, August 21st, the Bolshoi Ballet is entitled “The Pharaohʼs Daughter.”
Music os by Cesare Pugni and the choreographer is Pierre Lacotte from Marius Petipa.
The New York Times review: “...with “The Pharaoh's Daughter”, the Bolshoi has a
vehicle in which the companyʼs prima ballerina, Svetlana Zakharova can shine...”

On Thursday, August 28th, the ballet will come from La Scala. It is entitled
“Mediterranea” with music by Mozart, Ligeti, G.P da Palestrina and music from the
Mediterranean area. The ballet focuses on the gestures and the moves in a refined
balance between lyricism and pure energy. Dance Magazine calls it “A hit with the
public, Mediterranea was acclaimed by critics for its power....”

“These acclaimed ballet performances continue the foundationʼs dedication to bringing

entertainment to Cape May and Southern New Jersey that is not traditionally seen in the
region. Additionally, the funds raised from these special events will help us in our quest
to protect and save our historic community theatre.”, said Steve Jackson, the Beach
Theatre Foundationʼs President.

Each ballet will have 2 performances on each date, 7 and 9 p.m. All tickets will be
$15.00. They can be purchased in advance by going to www.beachboxoffice.com or
