REACTION PAPER

It is July 22, 2019 when President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his 4th
State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in
Quezon City. After presenting his achievements and priorities, I feel proud
even though some of the Filipinos including me, doesn't agree with some of
his platforms. I also feel proud when I realized that he doesn't just talk too
much, and act so little and slow according to him.

For me, I can feel that he is doing his best to uplift our country even
though we think that some of his techniques or system are not right. I felt
so happy when President Duterte announced a decrease of rate in poverty
and happier when I heard that citizens helped him to reduce poverty. But in
the other hand, I feel sad when I heard that the problem of Filipino
fishermen about the west Philippine sea is still a problem.

Also, it is still unforgivable for me as a woman to take all of his sexist

remarks specially that it came from a president. But despite of some
unacceptable decisions, I can see that our President does a lot of things in
this country specially when it comes to illegal drug problem and corruption.

We just have to trust and support him but don't forget that we are
having the right to speak when we think that something's not right. After all
of this, I realized that if we work together, if we obey and choose right
doings wholeheartedly, then, we can provide a better nation.
