PHYSICS PRACTICAL

LIST OF EXPERIMENTS:

1. Determine acceleration due to gravity by Kater’s pendulum.


2. Determine Young’s modulus of the material of the beam by method of bending.
3. Determine Elastic constants of the material of a wire by Searle’s method.
4. Determine modulus of rigidity of the material of given wire by Barton’s apparatus.
5. Determine modulus of rigidity of the material of the given wire by Dynamical method.
6. Verify the laws of transverse vibration of a stretched string by Sonometer.
7. Determine the frequency of an electrically maintained tuning fork by Melde’s
experiment.
8. Determine the mechanical equivalent of heat (J) by Joule’s calorimeter.

6. Draw the characteristics of n-p-n transistor in CE configuration.
7. Setting for parallel rays with the help of spectrometer.
8. Determine the angle of the prism with the help of spectrometer.
9. Determine the angle of minimum deviation through prism with the help of spectrometer.
10. Determine the wavelength of sodium light of newton’s ring.
11. Determine the number of lines per inch in a plane diffraction grating.

2.Study the maximum power transfer theorem for different internal resistances in case of voltage source
and current source.

3. Determine the value of low capacitance using Schering bridge.

4. Determine the width of single slit by producing diffraction pattern of known wavelength and to
verify it by travelling microscope.

5. Determine the width of double slit by producing diffraction and interference fringes and to compare it
by travelling microscope.

6. Determine the resolving power of plane diffraction grating.

7. To determine the frequency response curve of a R-C low pass filter.

8. Study of frequency response of RC high pass filter.

9.Plot the input and output characteristic of npn transistor in CE configuration.

10.Plot the input and output characteristic of npn transistor in CB configuration.

11.Plot the characteristics of FET.

12.Plot the characteristics of UJT.

13. Obtain the truth table for 2 input logic Gates in positive logic system.

14. Obtain the truth table for 3 input logic Gates in positive logic system.
15. Draw the characteristics of Zener diode and its use as a voltage regulator.

16. Plot the V-I characteristics of phototransistor.
