I. Content Standards
 The learner demonstrates understanding of planning, installing and testing computer
systems and networks.
II. Performance Standards
 The learner independently demonstrates the correct planning, installing and testing of
computer systems and networks.
III. Learning Competencies
 Follow OHS procedures in installing devices, systems, networking devices, and peripherals
 Comply with the requirements in installing devices,/systems, networking devices, and
peripherals
 Install computer systems, networking devices and peripherals in accordance with job
requirements
 Perform variations in installing devices and systems in accordance with customer/client’s
requirements
 Obtain approval from appropriate personnel before implementing contingency procedures
 Respond to unplanned events or conditions in accordance to established procedures
 Check the quality of the work undertaken in accordance with the established procedures
IV. Specific Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners implement the OHS procedures in installing devices,
systems, networking devices, and peripherals and perform installation of devices and variety of
operating systems in accordance with customer/client’s requirements.

V. Learning Content
Subject Matter: Install equipment/devices and systems
Materials: Handout, Software devices (OS, MS Office, Drivers, Utilities), PC, DVD Drive

A. Preliminaries
 Bible Verse
 Prayer
 Checking of Uniforms
 Checking of Attendance
 Review
 Pre – Assessment (Brain Storming)
B. Presentation
 Lesson Proper
o Guide the students in identifying the different Personal Protective Equipment and
their uses.
o Introduce to the learners the different systems specification.
o Discuss how to install equipment, devices, peripherals and networking devices are
done.
o Discuss the principles on installing computer system.
o Familiarize the students on how to install windows 7 and 8.
o Familiarize/ educate the learners on the basic configuration set-up.
 Ongoing Assessment ( Group Work, short formative test)
o Let learners answer the short formative test
o Guide the students in answering the different essential questions about system
specifications.
o Instruct the learners to write their answers in their notebook.
o Instruct the students to rearrange the procedures in personal computer
disassembly and personal computer assembly
VII. Summary
Synthesize the lesson by:
 Enhancing learners understanding in implementing contingency procedures in unplanned events
and obtaining approval from appropriate personnel by watching a video presentation and actual
interview to a person practicing in the field.

VIII. Assessment/Evaluation
 Group the students and let them work on the task regarding the PPE.
 Guide the in doing the performance test on PC Assembly and Disassembly and connecting
peripherals.
 Guide the students in installing windows 8 and Windows 7.

IX. Integration of Faith Life and Learning (IFL)

 When life gets broken into pieces of despair don’t forget that there is God who is willing to fix and
transform us into a whole being which is renewed by spirit.
