Verify that all construction / installation activities have been

Baseplate is design with grouting ensure the grout hole is covered

to avoid water accumulation.
Name plate/tag details correct & in accordance with design data
3 sheet. Manufacturers test certificates & FAT documentation
available.
Base frame, drip pan, holding down bolts, shims, washers

correctly installed in correct location as per design specification.
Check lubrication system. Ensure correct quantity & grade of

lubricant is installed. Note in comments section.
6 Pump case vent & drains are clear & unobstructed as per design.
7 Confirm pump free to rotate/move.
Verify the pre-alignment checks for: coupling / pulley / belts are

correct.
9 Confirm that pre-Coupling Alignment is complete (If applicable).
Pump and driver sit solidly on all mounting (soft foot check

carried out).
Confirm all associated pipe work including flexible pipe are
11
connected correctly, aligned & are damaged free.
12 Verify that all electrical/instrument signal are completed.
Pumps installed correctly as per design with no misalignment of
12 coupling / pipe / pump case flanges, no imposed load on pump
casing.
Mechanical seal system installed in accordance with design.

Record and specify the level/pressure of the mechanical seal pot.
14 Verify earthing boss connection.
15 Record preservation measures taken in preservation log.
16 Verify that an adequate lifting arrangement with the correct SWL

for equipment and access is available for the removal/re-
installation of the pump.
Coupling / pulley guard installed correctly & ensure that

coupling / pulley / belts are free without any rubbing.
As-if instructed by commissioning whether it is require the
18 suction strainer off pump skid. If so, ensure that it is fitted
correctly and to specification.
If the pump is fitted with a pressurised cooling or lubrication
19
ensure that it is charged to the vendor’s recommended pressure.
If Pulsation damper is fitted to suction line record vendor’s
20
recommended pre-charge pressure here: ………………………Bar
Confirm that Pulsation damper (suction) has been pre-charged to

the vendor’s recommended pre-charge.
If Pulsation damper is fitted to discharge line record vendor’s
