Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a. identify the methods of paragraph development.
b. appreciate the importance of methods of paragraph development.
c. use the methods to finish the task given.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Methods of Paragraph Development
Materials: Powerpoint, Projector, LapTop and visual aids as alternative.
Reference: Writing in Discipline
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
a. Review
Ask the students about the previous lesson.
What they learn from the previous lesson.
Ask the students if they really understand the lesson.
b. Drill
Let the students read the short story shown in the powerpoint.
B. Motivation
The teacher will ask about their views and opinions about the story they have read.
C. Presentations of the Lesson
The teacher will play on the screen the topic you will be discussing.
D. Lesson Proper
The teacher will start to discuss the first 6 methods of paragraph development.
E. Application
The teacher will conduct a group activity. Group the class first and introduce the
criteria after grouping them. the teacher should assure that everyone is cooperating in their groups.
F. Generalization
The teacher will assure if the class understand the lesson.
IV. Evaluation
Ask the student to return to their chairs and prepare for a short quiz.
Present the questions through the powerpoint or in alternative, will be posted using the
visual aids.
V. Assignment
Present the assignment in the powerpoint or in alternative, will be posted using the visual
aids.

I. Objective
At the end of the class the students are expected to:
a. identify the approaches and let them analyse the text using the approaches.
b. appreciate the creativity and importance of the literary approaches
c. enact the events they are required to present.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Literary Approaches
Lesson: Formalism, Biographical ad Freudian Approach
Material: Powerpoint, projector, laptop, visual aids (if necessary)
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
a. Review
Ask the students about the previous lesson.
Ask what they have understand and make sure they really understand it.
b. drill
Let the students read the anecdote flashed from the projector. Ask their opinions and
views about the short story. Ask them the question have an interactive discussion
B. Motivation
Let the class play a guessing game. Divide the group into 2.
C. Presentation of the Lesson
When the lesson is flashed on the screen, introduce them the lesson and give a short
background.
D. Lesson Proper
Discuss the lesson in the class, give their meanings and cite examples of each
approach.
E. Application
Ask 5 students to come infront. Instruct them of what they should do about it.
