Sri Muktsar Sahib City, the District Headquarters of Sri Muktsar Sahib District is a Historical
City. It is intimately connected with Sikh religion. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, fought his last
battle against Mughals in 1705 A.D. at Sri Muktsar Sahib. During fighting, 40 disciples of
Guru Ji known as '40 Muktas (40 liberated ones) sacrificed their lives. Muktsar is named
after these 40 Muktas. Literally the name of this city means “the pool of liberation”.The
forty sikh warriors who fought to death here against the Mughal Empire more than three
centuries ago are remembered by a grand festival 'Maghi Mela’ held here every January,
which attracts
devotees from all over the world.

engineering and computer science required for developing computer systems. Computer
engineers usually have training in software design, and hardware-software integration

Agricultural Science is a broad field of science that focuses on economic and social aspect in
context to agriculture. Today Indian agriculture needs highly competent & multi
disciplinary human resource. Agriculture has both of opportunity in government as well in
private sector. The course of B. Sc. in Agriculture is of great significance over the years. The
College has started the course in pursuit of rural development through agricultural
education and creating a cadre of highly competent human resource in the field of
Agriculture. This course offers a unique opportunity to develop understanding of
agriculture, from the science and production of crops and animals to the management skills

PARKING Campus has dedicated fleet of buses moving to the college from all the adjoining

regulations require that all vehicles operated on campus by students, faculty, staff,and

CANTEENAND SNACKS JUNCTION The Institute is providing Canteen and Snacks Junction
to the students as well as teaching
and non teaching staff of the institute; it is capable of catering the demands of the students
and can accommodate 100 persons at a time. It has spacious & properly maintained room
as well as kitchen; generally the college provides it to any individual on contract basis after
