TALKING POINT FOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN CHINESE GEOLOGICAL

SURVEY AND GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF PAKISTAN.

1. Geological Survey of Pakistan desire full decisive involvement in the project planning and
execution for development of human resource, key laboratory overhauling and database
construction.

2. As per experience of first phase, Geological Survey of Pakistan have field and background
geological knowledge, which can be helpful in shortlisting area for next phase. In that
context, GSP, have to be involve in shortlisting area for next phase.

3. To mark the objective of establishing Geological setting and background geology, we will
need to integrate the geochemical sampling data with background field knowledge. For this
purpose, the result of geochemical data of first phase will be required for further study.

4. As suggested by CGS the mapping will be based on 1:1, 000,000, the GSP want to be Commented [mg1]: As suggested by CGS, the GSP want
to be consult during shortlisting of the area.

5. GSP wants that remote sensing lab be established in Geological Survey of Pakistan and
must be fully assign to carry out remote sensing work of the project after proper training
of personals.

6. Geological survey of Pakistan has full fledge geophysical suit of geophysical equipment
for carrying out project objective. GSP wants that Geophysical Division must be consult
with decisive role to conduct and select point for geophysical work.

7. Geological Survey of Pakistan suggests that database must establish in Pakistan so that
Geological Survey of Pakistan also be benefited from Project in their coming ventures.

8. Geological Survey of Pakistan wants that most of sample analysis must be done here in
 Geoscience Advance Research Laboratory (GARL). Therefore, Chinese counterpart will
be helpful in upgradation and overhauling our analytical laboratories. This will be much
easy to analyse sample here rather than transport samples to China and GSP will have
train staff for our laboratories operation.

9. Geological Survey Pakistan believe in fair data usage policy for data. It is therefore, data
will be available to everyone on equal grounds

10. Geological Survey of Pakistan has no role in licencing and leasing. Therefore, GSP will
not be able to support any company in securing licence and lease.

11. As a part of human resource development, GSP want that officers of GSP should be
supported in there higher education in China as part of Project.
