In this activity, my students are going to use Voki.com as a lesson refresher


Pedagogy Planning

and then create a written response to the teachers question about one of
the areas within SOL 7.2 using Annotator.thinkport.org.

Activity
In this activity students will watch a refresher video created on Voki.com. Voki.com is a
web site that allows you to use avatars to create instructional presentations. This video
is created by the teacher for the students to refresh there knowledge about the SOL area
of study. The student will receive and email from the teacher with a link they can open
and view the video. Once the video has completed the avatar will instruct the student on
the next step of the exercise. A new web link will be provided to for the student to
complete a short answer style question on one topic of the SOL 7.2 instructional area.
The student will follow the link to Annotator.thinkport.org. Once there the student will
login using begin my project. Using the Project name and then create a user name and
password. Once completed they will connect to the project page where they will receive
their instructions on how to complete the written assignment. When completed the

student will save their annotated work and submit for teachers review. Students will
receive feedback from teacher on their submitted response.

 When first logging into the annotator.thinkport.org site the student will have to
select begin their assignment.
 They then must identify what the assignment project name:, “The Project name
MrsKassidy101”
 Then the student must enter their name and a password
 Once completed they will be logged into Annotator.
 The student should click on project instructions and follow instructions on page
tab and teacher instructions in the text area to complete the assignment.
 When the assignment is completed they must save and submit for grading.
 The student will log back in and check for the teacher’s feedback on their short
paragraphs.
