B. Assessment
1. The ancient Hawaiians were svelte and strong. Their descendants are
obese and prone to heart diseases, cancer, stroke and diabetes.
2. Their findings resulted in a diet that is low in fat, high complex
carbohydrates and based on the eating habits of the ancient islanders.
1. I ate for emotional satisfaction, out of stress and for compensation when
things went wrong.
1. These ideas are not to emphasis a weights focus, but to help you pay
more attention to your eating habits and dining environment.
2. According to studies in Northern Ireland and Canada, people eat more
when ̷̷there’s ̷̷background ̷̷noise, ̷̷and ̷̷loud, ̷̷fast ̷̷music ̷̷increases ̷̷
consumption.
3. Alternately, ̷̷these ̷̷studies ̷̷conclude ̷̷that ̷̷slow, ̷̷soft ̷̷music ̷̷isn’t ̷̷optimum ̷̷for ̷̷
eating either because it encourages us to eat slower than what we need
for healthy digestion.
4. The importance of chewing food thoroughly to release saliva enzymes,
that help carbohydrates get converted immediately to ̷̷flies ̷̷so ̷̷they’re ̷̷not ̷̷
stored as fat.
5. Plus, helps us taste food because flavor keeps being released, letting the
stomach ̷̷fill ̷̷up ̷̷gradually ̷̷and ̷̷signal ̷̷when ̷̷we’ve ̷̷had ̷̷enough.
1. If you are trying to incorporate a healthier lifestyle, the most effective way
to do this is not to follow any food diet plans or trendy exercise regimes.
2. The best way to adopt a healthier lifestyle –and make it stick- is to slowly
change small things about your diet.
3. Having a plan is helpful whether you are eating at home or eating out of
restaurants. You almost always make better decisions if you come into a
situation informed.
A good grocery list focuses on whole ingredients that you can re-use
multiple times before they go bad so instead of having different vegetables
every single night, try to alternate between a few combinations to get the
most out of your list.
4. Drinking more water can help you feel more full, as well as increase your
energy and help regulate pretty much every process within your body.
Very few people tend to drink as much water as they actually should.
Sugary soft drinks, juices, and energy drinks accounts for up to 20% of the
calories that Americans consume every day.
5. “Breakfast ̷̷is ̷̷the ̷̷most ̷̷important ̷̷meal ̷̷of ̷̷the ̷̷day”.
While they may give you a momentary burst of energy leave you feeling
tired and hungry.
6. Eating a variety of foods is a great way.
This does not mean that you should eat to different types of candy bars, of
course, but the more you vary your healthy choices.
7. In the same vein of going natural, you will tend to see better results by
consuming your Vitamins from food directly; as opposed to getting them
from supplements. Some supplements are good, especially if you have an
energy to certain foods like diary and need to get some extra calcium, but
try not to rely on supplements for your entire nutrient profile. The key to
gathering the right healthy eating information is just playing attention to
what you consume.
