Project Title: PROJECT KALAMBUAN SA PALISIYA

(PROJECT POLICY DEVELOPMENT)

Project Objectives:

1. To promote information dissemination campaign and community


empowerment concerning relevant policy researches that have relevance to
the plight of the marginalized sectors particularly the indigents, women,
children, persons with disabilities, fisherfolks, and indigenous people in
General Santos City and Sarangani Province.

2. To provide concrete policy and program interventions formulated


to support the needs of the identified stakeholders.

3. To come up with a dialogue with the stakeholders concerning


policy gaps within the framework of policy enhancement and community
empowerment.

Project Description: This project is intended to support the plight of the


marginalized sectors particularly the fisherfolks, indigents, women,
children, persons with disabilities, and indigenous people for policy
development and people empowerment. In collaboration with the
community-based organizations and its linkages, LGUs of General Santos
City and Sarangani Province, and other concerned agencies, the importance
of the project is to provide research knowledge to policymakers, community
and its linkages about the real scenario experienced by the identified sectors
based on the selected local issues. Aside from IEC, the proponents would
also like to conduct a dialogue with the stakeholders concerning the policy
recommendations to the local decision-makers coming from the policy gaps
provided by the researchers of the department for the enhancement of
public policy-making, local governance, and community empowerment.

PROJECT TITLE: Kalambuan sa Palisiya

PROJECT PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

1. To promote information dissemination campaign and community


empowerment concerning relevant policy researches that have relevance to
the plight of the marginalized sectors particularly the women, children,
persons with disabilities, fisherfolks, and indigenous people in General
Santos City and Sarangani Province.

2. To provide concrete policy and program interventions formulated to

3. To come up with a dialogue with the stakeholders concerning policy gaps


within the framework of policy enhancement and community empowerment.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES / MILESTONES:

Information/education campaign drawn out from 5 policy studies with


relevance to issues of stakeholders

5 policy studies within 1 year for 5 groups of stakeholders, namely


fisherfolks, women, children, PWDs,, and IPs

Present findings and recommendations from policy studies that cater to the
needs of the 5 groups of stakeholders

Gather representatives – 4 from LGUs, 4 from stakeholders, 2 from Faculty


members for the conduct of multi-stakeholders meeting

5 times every 3 months; 5,000 per session

Transfer of knowledge via open letter, open forum, public education

Help lobby study recommendations that came from the policy gaps for
policy development or enhancement, and community empowerment

Success measure: if we can set a sit-down a meeting/dialogue with the policy-


makers

Budget: 25,000 total; 5,000 per session inclusive of per diem, fare, food
